Glad you asked. I'm omitting Wings stuff.

Album: McCartney. Consider Junk, or (I'm sure you know) Maybe I'm Amazed

Album: Flowers in the Dirt (my personal favorite--I saw him on tour twice in 1989): Consider You Want Her TooWe Got Married, Put It There, That Day is Done

Album: Off the Ground: Consider Hope of DeliveranceMistress and Maid, Cosmically Conscious

Not much more to add--I am poorly versed in his solo work after the 1990s. Enjoy the tunes above.
Great list.  I love the ones above in particular, and my favorite is also Flowers in the Dirt.

Coincidentally my MIL posted on my FB timeline today this two-year-old list of PM's best solo songs.  Haven't looked through it yet, but given it's from Rolling Stone I'm skeptical.  In fact just looking at the title saying "solo" but the subtitle referring to "post-Beatles," I'm not even sure what they were doing.

I understand completely and I know the premise of his list. That’s my language for saying “I vehemently disagree” and also on the helpful side “Maybe, just maybe, you have not heard all Paul McCartney songs and you might find something you like better elsewhere.”
I wasn't directing my response to anything you'd said, though maybe shuke's comment to which I replied had been?  In any case, hadn't noticed your saying anything "wrong."

Sweet! And it has lyrics. 😎

I am sure that krista loves that circus/carnival intro and insert ... right, k?
I don't know as I don't click links of bands I don't like.

Never heard Coming Up before.  Pretty good.
This can't be possible...can it?

Big fan of #40.

56. New Radicals - You Get What You Give

"What the hell, shuke?!!??"

That's right.  Number 56.  Ever.
Great great great song/

This whole damn world, could fall apart
You'll be ok, follow your heart
You're in harms way, I'm right behind
Now say you're mine

You've got the music in you
Don't let go
You've got the music in you
One dance left
This world is gonna pull through
Don't give up
You've got a reason to live
Can't forget
We only get what we give

Don't let go
I feel the music in you
Don't let go
Fly high, high

53. Son Volt - Chaos Streams

These guys to me are the epitome of "alt country", a favorite genre of mine but one that gets used too liberally.  They're similar to Heartless Bastards, in that I love everything in their catalog almost equally.  So it was difficult for me to even narrow it down to a few songs.

Also considered: Drown, L Train, Roll On
