Sidney Rice possibly has torn labrum

Posted by Mike Florio on September 18, 2011, 12:54 PM EDTThe centerpiece of the Seahawks' free-agent class will remain in the cabinet for the foreseeable future.

A shoulder injury has kept receiver Sidney Rice out of the first two games of the 2011 season, and Jay Glazer of FOX reports that it's believed Rice has a torn labrum.

If so, Rice may eventually need surgery. Which could mean that the Seahawks won't get much of a return on their investment in Rice this year.

Looking more and more like damaged goods.

I have had a labral repair. The recovery sucks, 2-4 weeks of complete immobility and it took a full year before I had my ROM back and around 90% of my strength back.

Type of guy you try and trade for in week 11 or 12 for next year
Exactly what I'm thinking. Like with VJax in the past, wait until he's sat on an owner's bench for 8-10 weeks doing nothing, then buy him low. Especially if the Seahawks are in the Luck running. Which, they will be.
