Sinorice Moss any value this year? (1 Viewer)

I know he had a hammy most of this preseason, does anyone know if he's healthy now? Is it realistic to think he'll win the slot #3 role? Could he even pass old man Toomer this year? :popcorn:

Tim Carter has looked good as the #3. No way Moss overtakes Toomer unless he gets hurt. I doubt Moss will have any fantasy value this year unless another WR goes down.

Tiki Barber praised T Carter on his radio show last week saying he will have a great year & keep Moss on the bench.

Unless he's got his brother's tremendous talent, Sinorice is likely to be a classic quick/fast and smallish slot WR, albeit a very explosive one. As such, his ceiling is probably around what Az Hakim's numbers were with the Rams.

As others have said, I think next year is the earliest you could expect to see performance out of him. He's not going to beat out both Toomer and Carter as a rookie.

Edit to add Hakim's stats from his Rams years:

Code:
+----------+-----+--------------------------+-------------------------+| Year  TM |   G |   Att  Yards	Y/A   TD |   Rec  Yards   Y/R   TD |+----------+-----+--------------------------+-------------------------+| 1998 stl |   9 |	 2	 30   15.0	1 |	20	247  12.3	1 || 1999 stl |  15 |	 4	 44   11.0	0 |	36	677  18.8	8 || 2000 stl |  16 |	 5	 19	3.8	0 |	53	734  13.8	4 || 2001 stl |  16 |	11	 50	4.5	0 |	39	374   9.6	3 |
For another frame of reference, here's Randle El's numbers from his years as a WR3 with Pittsburgh (when he of course played with Burress):
Code:
+----------+-----+--------------------------+-------------------------+| Year  TM |   G |   Att  Yards	Y/A   TD |   Rec  Yards   Y/R   TD |+----------+-----+--------------------------+-------------------------+| 2002 pit |  16 |	19	134	7.1	0 |	47	489  10.4	2 || 2003 pit |  13 |	15	 75	5.0	0 |	37	364   9.8	1 || 2004 pit |  16 |	 8	 34	4.2	0 |	43	601  14.0	3 |

If Carter stays healthy (big if considering his past) Moss will not be the #3 this year.

Moss missed most of camp with an injured quad. Carter has looked great in camp and during the preseason game.

If Toomer goes down, I think Carter would take over for him before Moss would. Moss simply didn’t get enough reps in camp to expect a whole lot out of him this year.
