Sitting in Endzone Seats of NFL Games (1 Viewer)

Anyone with first hand knowledge of how this experience is. Pop for one home game a year (Giants) with my son and usually spend the cash to sit lower level mid field. But other stuff going on this year and less cash to spend so eyeing lower endzone seats instead. Will I spend most of game straining to see action on other end of field? whats the experience like for those that sit endzone on the regular?

I love it and I actively prefer endzone seating to "regular" seats.  If I want to see the game from a between-the-40s angle, I can just watch television.  You see plays develop very differently in the endzone, and it's pretty awesome when plays are inside your 20.  On the other end of the field, yes you will strain a bit to see what's going on, but they have jumbotrons so it's not really that big a deal.

My son and I got first-row endzone tickets for a Bills game a while back, and I still occasionally go back and watch the DVR to catch glimpses of us on the television broadcast.

I prefer midfield rather than end zone but Ivan does make a good point. Personally I find it difficult to judge depth when watching from the end zone (was that a 20 yard punt? Nope, it went 60.) But I do love watching kickoff returns especially from that angle. You get to see the whole play open up and criticize the returner for missing the open holes. It's not a bad experience, worth trying if money is tight.

Having a great bonding experience with your son >>>>>>>>>>> view of the game.

Best game I ever saw in person I was sitting in end zone seats.  Vikings came back down 20-0 against the Bears, scoring three touchdowns in the 4th quarter, all in the end we were sitting at.

However, I've been to other games where most of the action was at the other end, and it wasn't nearly as rewarding.

Though personally I think other factors have a bigger impact; are you sitting on the aisle vs the middle of the row, how many drunken idiots are surrounding you, etc.

Love the end zone seats! It's like the coach cam. You can see the plays develop and view the game from a unique angle. Prefef end zone seats to 50 yard line seats.

My rule on EZ seats: if you're not in the first couple rows, where you can hear the grunts and see the whites of the players eyes on goal line plays, it's better to be toward the top of the lower level, or closer to the front of the upper level.

Keep in mind, some stadiums have the stands way too far from the end zone to make even sitting in the first row or two worth it.

It's a nice experience if you've never seen a game from the EZ, but I'm glad my season tickets are on the sideline because it wouldn't be where I would want to sit for every game.

I had Jets season tickets (yeah yeah yeah) for about 10-15 years and we had end-zone seats, gave them up after the first year of the new Met Life Stadium because I hated the experience plus it was getting tougher and tougher to go to games.

It's not a bad perspective at all as you can see plays develop from behind the line of scrimmage. The downside of course are red-zone plays on the opposite end of the field, but that is countered by how awesome goal-line action is at your end.

sat in the end zone a few times at Lambeau

there isn't a bad seat in the place but the perspective is so skewed watching from the end zone that it's really hard to adjust and understand what's happening without monitoring the jumbotron for replays.

maybe if you're high up in the end zone it's better. dunno. i've only ever gone as high as about halfway. would not recommend.

I have had three different sets of season tickets at Heinz Field.    I had 2 in the upper deck corner which are not all that great IMO but my brother has them now.  Two in the lower deck around the 25 yard line which were great but I sold the PSLs for big money.

Finally the two I currently have in the 3rd row of the "open" endzone of the stadium.   These seats are so close to the field you can smell the grass and are fantastic when the play is on your 30 yd line or closer.  Beyond that they are okay but honestly I tend to watch the play on the facing scoreboard more often than not.  Another bonus is very few steps and no ramps to deal with and the proximity to the craft beer stand.

Similar, but I like sitting in the corners of stadiums/arenas about mid-level height.

I enjoy sitting in the endzone though obviously harder to see at the other end.  It is easier to see plays develop in my opinion.  Endzones tend to have a more raucus crowd so I wouldn't sit there with young kids.

A man with his priorities in order.

Agree with this.  I have season tickets at Lambeau about halfway up the south end zone and I like them alot.  It's kinda like the "Madden" view

I think the end zone is fun. Really enjoy watching the defenses from that perspective. Been a while since I've been to game, but I used to like watching the TV broadcast on tape after sitting in end zone seats.
