Sizemore for Holliday/Liriano (1 Viewer)

Another trade question, keeper league.

I have Holliday for $9 who will be a free agent after this year.

I have been offered:

Sizemore ($16, can be kept next year also)

for

Holliday and Francisco Liriano ($1, can be kept up to 2 more years for $1).

Should I do it? Sizemore would help me out in steals, though I have Crawford/Hanley/BPhillips already. I also have Hafner, though that doesn't make too much of a difference.

I like that Sizemore can be kept next year at $16 considering he'd prob go for $35 (Crawford was $36, pretty comparable). Liriano is the great unknown!

Sizemore is an absolute stud -- one of the best fantasy players out there. He's better than Holliday, who is also good, but you can't keep him.

As for Liriano, I wouldn't take that risk. I'd rather have the guarantee of Sizemore.

My SP's: Santana, Cain, Snell, Vazquez, ShieldsOF's: Crawford, Holliday, Alou, Quentin (start 3)UTIL is Hafner, so I don't ever move him out of there.Santana will be gone after this year, with my keeper options limited to Cain ($11) or Vazquez ($1). We are allowed 4 keepers off our roster for the following year, and Snell and Shields were picked up from Free agency so they can't be kept.If I had to name my keepers today, I'd probably keep:Hanley Ramirez ($25)Cain ($11)Liriano ($1)Quentin ($1) or Phillips ($11)Of course, I can always make deals at the trade deadline in August to try and line up keepers for next year if need be.

I apologize. i thought you meant Roy Halladay. Thats what I get for reading too fast. I would most definately do this deal. Sizemore is better than Matt Holliday and Liriano may or may not be effective next year. I think you should do this.

These days it's not at all unlikely that pitchers come back from TJ even better than they were before. That said, you have to do this deal. Sizemore is a stud.
