Slaton claimed by Dolphins (1 Viewer)

Is Slaton worth a flyer on? Would have to drop either J. Harrison or Lynch or Thomas Jones. Close, but not quite.

amazing how people conclude that depth signings are because the team isn't happy with current players

When Philly signed Vince Young, was that because they weren't happy with Vick?

As for Slaton, I'd be surprised if he does anything. I'm wondering if he'll be a game day inactive. Does he play specials?

:goodposting: The NFL is a brutal league. People get hurt. Having depth is a good thing. Dolphins are taking a flyer on a former 1000 yard rusher as a backup in case. Nothing to see here.

Now that Thomas is out for Sunday's game, is Slaton worth a pickup in deep leagues?
No, But Hilliard might be?
I disagree. The fact that Thomas didn't even make the trip with the team makes me think his injury is serious enough to keep him out multiple weeks. I think they had Thomas' injury in mind when they claimed Slaton, not Bush's ineptitude. Any player that receives double digit touches when the byes kick in will have value and Slaton will get double digit touches if Thomas is out.I just realized the Dolphins have a bye week 5 but it's no guarantee Thomas will be back after it. Plus, the bye gives Slaton a couple weeks to learn the offense.
