Vanilla D is the Raiders MO. It has been for ever. If anyone knows of a place to find the number of times teams blitz, I'd be very curous to see how the Raiders rank. I'm pretty certain it's near or at the bottom over any time period.

There is going to be some sorry people in here when Bradford tears up your defense. :(

The danger in his hot start in meaningless games is that his coaches will try and "let him sink or swim" (a la Stafford last year) in game planning instead of making him a game manager, (a la Sanchez last year and Flacco two years back,) which means it's a total mismatch against even the worst teams in the NFL. If Bradford starts 12 games, he WILL throw 20+ INT's and take 40+ sacks. Sack, Fumble, TD is likely an even more common occurrence than a pick 6.Starting every game against Bradford will yield better results than starting the consensus "best" D this season.And, of course, that team is SO bad, that starting the backup QB may be WORSE?Bradford probably will fare better later in the season than early, though.Several other sucky offenses will be revealed in the first couple weeks of the season. Hammer away on the matchups!

But would a defense like Oakland be any more valuable then the Bears D would with Peppers and Hester and Knox returning kicks?
