Wide Receiver Firepower
Your WR corps is the crown jewel of this team, boasting an
A+ starter grade thanks to studs like Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Jaylen Waddle, and Calvin Ridley. These guys bring a safe floor and solid upside, giving you a reliable weekly scoring advantage. However, your bench WRs are a bit shaky, rated
D, which could hurt if injuries strike or bye weeks hit. Keep an eye on waiver wire gems to bolster depth here, and consider using Footballguys’
Weekly Rankings to spot emerging WRs that fit your flex spots.
Running Back Rollercoaster
Sorry, but yikes... your starting RBs are graded
D+, which is a glaring weakness. While your bench RBs shine with an
A+, the starters just haven’t delivered the punch you need. Saquon Barkley and D’Andre Swift provide some safety and upside, but the depth behind them is unproven or risky. This imbalance could cost you in tough matchups. You might want to explore trades or waiver pickups to upgrade your starting RBs, especially since RB scoring is crucial in Full PPR formats.
Tight End and Team Defense Strength
Your tight end group is a bright spot, graded
A+ overall, led by George Kittle who’s a consistent fantasy force. Having a strong TE and a solid team defense (graded
A+) gives you a strategic edge in those positions where many teams struggle. This stability can help offset some of the volatility at RB and QB. Don’t overlook the value of these positions in close playoff races—they can be the difference makers.
Playoff Outlook and Strategic Moves
With an overall
B grade and playoff chances ranging from average to great depending on how things shake out, your team is in a competitive spot. Your QB situation is solid but not spectacular, so consider the suggested free agent pickup of Sam Darnold to add depth or spark. Also, swapping out the Cincinnati Bengals defense for the Chicago Bears could be a savvy move to boost your TD scoring. Keep monitoring the waiver wire and trade market, especially for RB upgrades, and leverage Footballguys’
Waiver Wire Reportsto stay ahead. With some smart tweaks,
ozzzie can turn this promising roster into a real contender!

With this group of drafters, I’m content with it.
A few mistakes / things I’d change in hindsight:
1.04 - took Saquon despite my intentions to take Lamb. Not real sure why I changed it. Missed out on Shipley later which could hurt.
4.09 - took Garrett Wilson and don’t hate it but was hoping Tet would fall to 5.04, he did not.
14.09 - Jonnu smith, I’ll blame the dog for this one although it could pan out. She distracted me on the clock. Had I been paying better attention I would have taken Shipley here. He went 15.01
20.09 - Stafford. Not really a mistake but I already dropped him for the bengals D just because they play the browns in Week 1.
My thoughts on my positions
Q - Maye, Ward - upside but definitely not a safe position. Which is why I took Stafford in the 20th but he’s not safe now either
R - Saquon, swift, javonte, skattebo, najee. I like this crew more than the AI write up, but there’s definitely risk.
W - JSN, Garrett, waddle, Ridley, Reed, Keon Coleman, Kyle Williams, epic ayomanor. Strength of the team, especially when Reed comes back to full strength and if Keon shows us what I think he will.
T - kittle, Jonnu, Strange. Hard to beat kittle, the Steelers TEs will be interesting to watch. Strange won’t be higher than the 3rd option for Trevor, which might be ok.
D - Lions and I’ll work the waivers a bit like getting cincy for week 1.
