He was pretty good last week with McNair at QB. I like him a lot the rest of the way as well and I think he's looking real good this week against the Titans. When McNair goes down for the season he'll be gold.Until then, I'd keep him on the bench.
I think you hit the nail on the head. He'll have some good games, but some weeks Mason will be the guy, some weeks it will Clayton and Heap will almost always favor into the mix. Each week I'm faced with a choice of him or Eddie Kennison as my 3rd WR in a PPR league and each week I make the wrong choice. What I"m hopefull for Clayton is that he can consistently put up enough numbers I can start him with confidence and I"m not seeing that yet. To echo what someone else said, I think he'd be better with Boller. One of the things they have said they've been trying to focus on since Billick took over play calling is spreading the ball around. There may be one guy who does well one week and someone else may do it the next, but they're trying to keep from having "One Guy".
Were do you see Clayton was hurt in the New Orleans game were he only saw 2 targets? The only time I saw him on the injury list was prior to the Carolina game, which happened to be his biggest game of the year.I'll throw out this first two games of the season when he was not involved in the offense and here is what he has done since in PPR leagues.15.47.77.727.1 (and two of the TD's were kind of flukey and this is the game he was listed as questionable with a neck)2.7 (as far as I can tell he was not injured or on the injury report for this game)15.3In trying to see what he's going to be with Billick calling the plays it's kind of difficult to determine right now because in the two games Billick has called the plays he's seen both his high and low weekly targets. In the last six games, Clayton has had at least 6 targets in every game but one and 10 or more in three. The only game where he had less than six was two weeks ago when he was hurt. During that span he has had at least 4 receptions in every game but one (the game where he was hurt). The yardage has been inconsistent and he's scored only 2 TDs in that span (both in the same game) but he's clearly been involved. I don't see that changing. If he gets at least 6 targets and 4 receptions this week (which have been his floor) I think he'll put up some real good numbers against the Titans.
Mark Clayton tweaked his left hamstring again, but the injury likely won't prevent the Ravens' wide receiver from playing against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday at M&T Bank Stadium.Coach Brian Billick said yesterday during his weekly news conference at the team's practice facility in Owings Mills that Clayton's hamstring - the same hamstring that had bothered him on three occasions since the Ravens drafted him in the first round in 2005 - flared up again during the second half of Sunday's 35-22 victory over the New Orleans Saints. Were do you see Clayton was hurt in the New Orleans game were he only saw 2 targets?
Thanks, I did not know that. KNowing he was hurt and apparently left the game early in the one game he really failed to get any signifcant targets changes things a lot. Good info. I might have to move him in my lineup over Kennison in light of this. I did have Clayton on my WCOFF team last year and he was playing so good down the stretch I actually benched Deion Branch for him so I know he can play.Mark Clayton tweaked his left hamstring again, but the injury likely won't prevent the Ravens' wide receiver from playing against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday at M&T Bank Stadium.Coach Brian Billick said yesterday during his weekly news conference at the team's practice facility in Owings Mills that Clayton's hamstring - the same hamstring that had bothered him on three occasions since the Ravens drafted him in the first round in 2005 - flared up again during the second half of Sunday's 35-22 victory over the New Orleans Saints. Were do you see Clayton was hurt in the New Orleans game were he only saw 2 targets?
"The hamstring was tightening up a little on him, and the game was a situation where we removed Mark prudently to make sure that he didn't extend himself," Billick said. "The game was pretty much in hand."

I agree.P. Crayton if Glenn is out.![]()
It's pretty hard to put up 900-1000 yards receiving and not catch a few TDs, so he'll get a few scores in the 2nd half of the season. I'm guessing he's worth 60 FF points over the last eight games, making him a decent play as a #3 WR.packersfan said:I don't get the lack of respect for Eric Parker either. He isn't a good TD option but the guy has been pretty damn consistent all season long and is clearly the No. 1 WR on that team in terms of production. In a PPR league he's a very nice WR3. He's only had less than 4 receptions in a game once in the last six and he's had at least 55 yards receiving in four of the last five. The lack of TDs and TD potential really hurts him but there's no way he should be outside of the Top 40 in my opinion. He's too consistent. Maybe the ceiling isn't very high but his floor isn't low either.
Just be glad you don't Mark and MIKE Clayton. I did earlier in the year and made the mistake of playing Mike on a week when Mark actually did well. :X Would have lost anyway, but was kicking myself. But back to point ....I'm liking Clayton (Mark) the rest of the way. Gonna be tough to rationalize starting him over my #1 & #2, but feel much better about my depth for the stretch run.I went the entire weekend (I was out of town) thinking Clayton was in my lineup. I started Bryant and forgot to switch b4 I left tow.Didn't matter - I own LTBut I DID leave Clayton's 21 on the bench in favor of Bryant's 5 - won't do that again.
