Smoltz will miss Sunday's start and will not return to the rotation until Friday. Received a cortisone shot after his last start.

Just traded Mariano Rivera for him. He sounded pretty confident when Miller and Morgan talked to him Sunday night. Said if it was the playoffs he wouldn't have skipped his turn. Looks like about every game is going to be playoff caliber in that division...
