MIA at BAL
Lawrence Timmons and
Kiko Alonso played all 65 snaps.
Reshad Jones, Xavien Howard and
Cordrea Tankersly all played more than 90% of snaps. Timmons and Alonso were 1st and 2nd on the team in tackles. Timmons had 8 solos and 5 assists. Alonso amassed 8 solos and 1 assist.
Ndamukong Suh played 54 of 65 snaps.
Andre Branch missed this game with a groin injury. This led to 1st Round rookie
Charles Harris leading the DEs in snaps for the second straight week. Harris was on the field for 49 snaps.
William Hayes and
Cameron Wake both played 34 snaps.
Terrence Fede played 19 snaps. None of them produced a notable stat line.
Nate Allen left this game with a calf injury. His loss allowed
Michael Thomas to play more snaps than he played in the six games combined. Thomas had 3 solos and 1 assist on 49 snaps.
Tony Jefferson, Eric Weddle and
Brandon Carr played all 66 snaps.
CJ Mosley, Jimmy Smith and
Terrell Suggs all played between 80-90% of snaps. Carr actually led the team in tackles with 7 solos.
Patrick Onwuasor played 67% of defensive snaps and ended with 3 solos. His role is similar to Vince Williams. He’s a desperation bye week fill-in in anything but the absolutely deepest of leagues. In better matchups, he can still put up stats but he’ll never be an LB1. For those that picked up
Matt Judon following his big week a few weeks ago, Judon played 43 snaps (half as many snaps as his blowup game) and had 2 solo TFLs. Second Round rookie
Tyus Bowser got his first sack of the season. Bowser only played 13 snaps.
MIN at CLE (London)
Erik Kendricks, Xavier Rhodes and
Harrison Smith played 59 snaps.
Anthony Harris, Trae Waynes, Anthony Barr and
Everson Griffen all played over 90% of snaps.
Danielle Hunter was next with 47 of 59 snaps. Harris played because
Andrew Sendejo was suspended for the game because of a hit on Mike Wallace. Griffen has now had a sack in every game this season. It was Griffen’s only tackle, but it was only 1 of his 5 QB hits. Kendricks led the way in tackles with 8 solos, 1 assist, 1 TFL, 2 PDs and 1 QB hit. He should be proud of himself, because this was a London game, each team only got 2 assists and he got 1 of them. Smith had 7 solos and 1 TFL. The Vikings are probably the most boring team to write about because it’s so repetitive. You know who’s playing the snaps every week.
Joe Schobert and
Christian Kirksey played 85 snaps. The Vikings dominated time of possession.
Jamie Collins Sr. and
Jamar Taylor played 84 snaps. Schobert led the way with 11 solos and an interception.
Briean Boddy-Calhoun injured his hamstring after playing 72 snaps.
Myles Garrett missed this game with a concussion.
Emmanuel Ogbah played the most snaps at DE with 67.
Carl Nassib was second with 57 snaps.
Nate Orchard was third with 46 snaps. Nassib was the only one with a notable stat line with 3 solos, 1 sack and 2 PDs. With fellow rookie 1st Rounder
Jabrill Peppers out again,
Ibraheim Campbell played the most snaps of any safety with 68.
Derrick Kindred was on the field for 65 snaps. Campbell had 7 solos and 1 TFL while Kindred had 4 solos and 3 TFLs. This is still a situation to avoid going forward. Rookie UDFA
Kai Nacua played 18 snaps, his first of the season. He didn’t get on the stat sheet but he is “well known” for sucker punching Memphis player Alan Cross during the 2014 Miami Beach Bowl.
Trevon Coley missed this game with a neck injury while
Larry Ogbunjobi missed with a groin injury. This allowed 6th Round rookie
Caleb Brantley to log 47 snaps, the same as
Danny Shelton. Both DT ended with 2 solos. Shelton added a TFL and a QB hit.
CHI at NO
Eddie Jackson and
Adrian Amos both played 61 snaps.
Danny Trevathan and
Kyle Fuller played 60 snaps.
Leonard Floyd and
Akiem Hicks played 59 snaps.
Prince Amukamara played 54 snaps. Trevathan led the way in tackles with 9 solos, 4 assists and 1 TFL.
Nick Kwiatkoski was active for the first time since Week 2. Kwiat didn’t take snaps away from
Christian Jones though. Jones played 37 snaps while Kwiat only played 1 snaps. Jones amassed 5 solos and 2 assists. Hicks had his 4th straight game with a sack. Floyd added a sack as well which is impressive against Drew Brees.
Eddie Goldman played 41 snaps and put together 4 assists. Not his best game but still solid for a DT. If you’re in a league where
Bryce Callahan is useful, I’m impressed. Callahan left with a knee injury after 12 snaps.
CreVon LeBlanc came in and 33 snaps. LeBlanc ended with 1 solo. I’m not rushing to the waiver wire.
Kenny Vaccaro, Marcus Williams, AJ Klein, Ken Crawley and
Marshon Lattimore played 67 snaps.
Cam Jordan played 64 snaps.
Alex Okafor played 54 snaps.
Sheldon Rankins played 50 snaps. Vaccaro had the only really notable stat line. He put together 6 solos, 3 assists, 0.5 sacks, 2.5 TFLs and 1 PD.
Trey Hendrickson was the only other DE to play snaps. Hendrickson was on the field for 33 snaps. He added a sack and 2 assists.
Vonn Bell played 45 snaps. New Orleans didn’t play a 3rd CB in this game so any time they go to the nickel, it’s Bell as the 5th DB. Bell was tied for 2nd for total tackles with 5, including 2 solos.
Craig Robertson also had 5 total tackles with 4 solos and 2 TFLs. Robertson played 46 snaps.
HOU at SEA
Zach Cunningham and
Andre Hal played 69 snaps.
Benardrick McKinney and
Marcus Gilchrist played 68 snaps.
Jadeveon Clowney played 67 snaps.
DJ Reader played 55 snaps. That’s the most he’s played this season. He led the team in total tackles with 2 solos, 4 assists, 1 TFL and 2 QB hits. Reader played so many snaps because DE
Christian Covington tore his bicep after playing 24 snaps and is out for the season. Along the D-line, 2nd string NT
Brandon Dunn played 33 snaps and DE
Carlos Watkins played 28 snaps. Houston has now IRed both starting DE and one starting OLB. They will need Clowney playing in multiple spots going forward.
Kevin Johnson returned from injury and played 45 snaps. Seattle tested him a bit and he ended with 3 solos, 2 assists and 1 PD. Johnson was third in snaps at CB behind
Kareem Jackson (66 snaps) and
Johnathan Joseph (61 snaps). When Johnson is fully healthy, he’ll play the most snaps of the three. Of course, being fully healthy is something Johnson has struggled with to start his career. In the bit of news that’s meaningless for IDP,
Jeremy Lane was involved in the Duane Brown trade and was headed to Texas, but he couldn't pass a physical. Seattle seems like they're done with Lane.
Bobby Wagner, KJ Wright, Kam Chancellor, Richard Sherman and
Shaquill Griffin played 71 snaps.
Earl Thomas suffered a “slight” hamstring pull and only played 64 snaps. Along the D-line,
Michael Bennett played the most snaps with 59.
Sheldon Richardson was second with 54 snaps, followed by
Frank Clark (49 snaps) and
Jarran Reed (41 snaps). 37-year-old
Dwight Freeney was signed to help cover the loss of
Cliff Avril. He played 18 snaps in his first game, 4 snaps behind
Marcus Smith II, who hasn’t really seen an increase in snaps sans-Avril with the exception of Week 5. The four notable stat lines here belonged to the two LBs and the two primary DEs. Wright had 9 solos, 5 assists and 1 TFL. Wagner had 8 solos, 4 assists and 0.5 TFL. Bennett had 4 solos, 2 assists, 1.5 sacks and 3 TFLs and Clark had 4 solos, 1 assist and 2 sacks.
DAL at WAS
Anthony Brown and
Orlando Scandrick played 58 snaps for Team America.
Sean Lee, Byron Jones and
Jourdan Lewis all played over 50 snaps. The Cowboys were in sub packages quite a bit.
Anthony Hitchens only played 26 snaps, only 9 more snaps than
Jaylon Smith. 6th Round rookie
Xavier Woods played his second highest snap total on the season with 37. Woods ended tied for 3rd in total tackles with 4 solos and 1 assist.
Demarcus Lawrence played 37 snaps while
David Irving and
Tyrone Crawford were both on the field for 36 snaps. All three D-linemen added a sack while Irving had 2 for Team America. Washington’s O-line is so banged up. I think they’ve lost all but one of their starters on the season and they were down to their last O-linemen who was dressed Sunday night. It’s definitely a target for pass rushing D-linemen going forward and they play a bit of a murderer’s row coming up, at Seattle, Minnesota, at New Orleans, Giants, at the Chargers, Arizona and Denver.
Zach Brown, DJ Swearinger and
Josh Norman played 68 snaps.
Quinton Dunbar played 67 snaps in relief of
Bashaud Breeland who missed this game with a knee injury. Norman played every snap in his first game back from injury and ended with 2 solos and 2 assists. With
Deshazor Everett healthy for the first time in three weeks, he split snaps with 4th Round rookie
Montae Nicholson at S. Nicholson played 54 snaps to Everett’s 12 snaps, so it’s really just a limitation of Nicholson’s ceiling rather than a chance to start Everett. With
Mason Foster on IR,
Martrell Spaight and
Will Compton split snaps. Spaight played 38 snaps while Compton played 29 snaps. They both produced but that’s probably more due to playing Dallas than anything else. Spaight had 5 solos and 2 assists to sit behind Brown on the stat sheet. Compton had 3 solos and 4 assists.
Matt Ioannidis broke his hand after 23 snaps. He may try and play through it with a club which would obviously limit his effectiveness.
Ryan Kerrigan had 2 sacks on 54 snaps.
OAK at BUF
Navarro Bowman and
Reggie Nelson played 67 snaps for the Black and Silver.
Karl Joseph missed this game with a groin injury.
Shalom Luani started in his place and played 68 snaps for the Black and Silver. Luani ended with 6 solos, 1 assist and 1 PD.
TJ Carrie also played 68 snaps for the Black and Silver.
David Amerson and 1st Round rookie
Gareon Conley missed this game with injury.
Dexter McDonald played 67 snaps and put together 5 solos and 1 PD for the Black and Silver. Bowman led the team in tackles with 7 solos, 4 assists and 1.5 TFLs. The addition of Bowman or a side effect of the knee injury that is still bothering him, has taken away
Cory James’ 3 down role. James played 49 snaps, fewer than Bruce Irvin’s 61 snaps. James still had 8 solos and 3 TFLs.
Obi Melifonwu is expected to play next week, back from IR for the Black and Silver.
Preston Brown and
Micah Hyde played 65 snaps.
TreDavious Wright, Shareece Wright and
Trae Elston played 64 snaps. Elston filled in for
Jordan Poyer who missed with a knee injury. Elston, the UDFA sophomore, had a day. He led the team in tackles with 8 solos and 3 assists and added an interception for good measure. I think I saw Poyer was already practicing again so Elston’s starting snaps may already be done, but he’s potentially worth keeping an eye on. Poyer is signed through 2021 so it unless the coaches really liked him, it would need to be an injury or an opportunity on another team. Bills nickel CB
Leonard Johnson played 59 out of 65 snaps. He ended with 6 solos. He had a little relevance last year with Carolina when they used him to blitz the QB quite a bit. Johnson has topped 50 snaps in three games this year, 45 snaps in three more games and sputtered to 15 snaps in one game.
Matt Milano outsnapped
Lorenzo Alexander for the first time in
Ramon Humber’s continued absence. Milano played 52 snaps to Alexander’s 36 snaps. Milano ended with 3 solos, 1 assist and FR for a TD. In their first game without
Marcell Dareus,
Kyle Williams played 47 snaps,
Adolphus Washington played 38 snaps,
Cedric Thornton played 23 snaps and Jerel Worthy played 14 snaps.
IND at CIN
Matthias Farley, Vontae Davis and
Pierre Dessir played 56 snaps. Dessir played as
Rashaan Melvin missed this game with a concussion.
Jon Bostic played 53 snaps.
Antonio Morrison played 44 snaps. Both Bostic and Morrison had 3 solos and 5 assists. Bostic added a sack and 2.5 TFLs while Morrison just added 1.5 TFLs. IRed
Malik Hooker’s snaps were split fairly evenly between
Darius Butler and
TJ Green. Green had the better stat line with 4 solos on 23 snaps. Butler put together 1 solo and 2 assists on 33 defensive snaps.
Henry Anderson played the most snaps of any Indy D-Line. Anderson also had his best game of the year with 5 solos, 2 assists, 1 sack and 3 total TFLs. Anderson was a hyped 3rd Round rookie back in 2015 but has battled injuries his entire career. With
John Simon out with a stinger, former 1st Rounder
Barkevious Mingo started in his place and played 43 snaps. Mingo contributed 2 solos, 3 assists and 1 QB hit.
Nick Vigil, Vontaze Burfict and
Shawn Williams played 74 snaps. I may have pronounced
Adam Jones dead too soon. Jones played 44 snaps, 3rd among CBs.
Dre Kirkpatrick (62 snaps) and
Darqueze Dennard (54 snaps) played ahead of him while
William Jackson III (41 snaps) was right behind him. Jones is returning from a back injury. If he’s available in your league, I wouldn’t pick him up quite yet. Cincy plays Jacksonville next week. Keep an eye on his snap count next week and that should give you an idea of his usefulness going forward. Bengals’ Safeties are usually an unproductive position. It’s getting worse.
George Iloka split snaps with
Josh Shaw this week. Iloka was on the field for 42 snaps while Shaw played 32 snaps. Shaw’s been getting pretty consistent snaps but never at Iloka’s expense. I couldn’t find any news on an Iloka injury.
Michael Johnson played 24 snaps before leaving with a back injury. Another back injury, it’s almost like having a defense loaded with 30+ year old guys isn’t the best idea… My back is sore just leaning over my laptop. Johnson has been playing a lot of DT this year, not just playing DE. In his absence
Chris Smith (34 snaps) played more than
Jordan Willis (20 snaps). Smith ended with 2 solos, 1 assist and 2 QB hits. If Johnson misses some time, we may have to do the Smith/Willis waltz again. When Johnson was hurt in Week 1 and missed Week 2, Smith outsnapped Willis in Week 1 but Willis outsnapped Smith in Week 2. On the season, Smith has played 174 snaps to Willis’ 170 snaps.
LAC at NE
Jahleel Addae played 86 snaps. 86.
Tre Boston, Casey Hayward and
Trevor Williams all played 85 snaps. Next on the list are
Melvin Ingram (78 snaps) and
Joey Bosa (72 snaps). That’s more than most DEs play in two games combined. Bosa set the record for most sacks in the first 20 games of a career, surpassing Aldon Smith. Good new/bad news situation here. The bad new is I didn’t identify
Adrian Phillips’ new role early enough to put it in last week’s snap count thread. The good news is I realized it on Saturday and picked him up and started him against the Pats and enjoyed his 12 solos, 1 TFL and 1 PD on 59 snaps. I know you guys all appreciate my team’s success. Maybe I need to start doing a quick Saturday notes post… With
Jatavis Brown still banged up and
Denzel Perryman still out, the 4th year UDFA Safety started playing OLB three weeks ago to increase team speed. In Week 5, Phillips played 53 snaps, after playing 36 snaps in Weeks 1-4. In Week 6, Phillips was on the field for 7 snaps before leaving with a concussion. In Week 7, Phillips played 46 snaps. The Chargers are on bye next week so Brown and Perryman may be able to get healthy, possibly taking away Phillips’ opportunity. I may try to offload Phillips onto someone who is Safety needy and isn’t fully aware of his situation. The odds of the Chargers playing 86 defensive snaps in a game again this year are pretty low.
Hayes Pullard played the most snaps at LB with 66, more than any two other LBs combined. Pullard ended second on the team in solos with 10, 2 assists and 1 TFL. Williams, still starting for the IRed
Jason Verrett had a great game, 8 solos and 1 PD.
Desmond King played 58 snaps and had 4 solos and 1 sack. You can do worse if you’re desperate at CB.
Kyle Van Noy, Devin McCourty, Malcolm Butler and
Johnson Bademosi played 56 snaps.
Patrick Chung played 51 snaps while
Duron Harmon played 50 snaps. Van Noy had the top stat line on the team with 6 solos, 1 TFL and 1 PD. Six solos led the team. With
Dont’a Hightower on IR,
Elandon Roberts played 40 snaps and put together 5 solos, 1 assist and 1 TFL.
Deatrich Wise has started losing some of the hype lately. Wise only played 34 snaps, good for second among DEs but only 2 more snaps than
Lawrence Guy and only 6 more snaps than
Cassius Marsh, both of whom outproduced him. Guy had 1 solo and 4 assists. Marsh had 2 solos and 1 TFL. Wise ended with 1 assist.
ATL at NYJ
Deion Jones, De’Vondre Campbell, Keanu Neal, Ricardo Allen and
Robert Alford played 61 snaps. This is the second week in a row Campbell played 100% of the snaps. His stat line wasn’t amazing with 2 solos, 2 assists and 1 TFL but he’ll produce given the opportunity. Jones led the way in tackles with 9 solos, 2 assists and 1 TFL. After Neal’s 8 solos and 1 assist, the third leading tackler was
Grady Jarrett, with 4 solos, 3 assists, 0.5 sack and 2 TFLs. He also picked off a spike when Josh McCown was trying to stop the clock. The play was nullified because the Jets weren’t lined up prior to the snap, but pretty amazing for a DT to dive in and intercept a spike. Jarrett did all that on 47 snaps.
Dontari Poe also played 47 snaps but only produced 2 solos, 2 assists and 0.5 sack.
Brooks Reed’s snaps dropped quite a bit. He played 18 snaps, his lowest of the season. I couldn’t find any news on an injury.
Takk McKinley still only played 25 snaps. He’s warming up though with 2 solos, both for a loss, 1 sack and another QB hit.
Kemal Ishmael played in
Duke Riley’s spot. Ishmael played 4 defensive snaps.
Demario Davis, Darron Lee, Marcus Maye and
Jamal Adams played 66 snaps.
Leonard Williams and
Darryl Roberts both played over 90% of snaps.
Mo Wilkerson played 54 snaps. Wilkerson ended with 5 solos, 1 sack and a second TFL. There isn’t much to say here.
David Bass didn’t play any defensive snaps. He was fun for a few minutes. He’s droppable now.
Jordan Jenkins led the way at OLB with 46 snaps. Jenkins had 1 solo, matching the output of OLB
Josh Martin, who was on the field for 32 snaps.
Kony Ealy played 39 snaps. The Jets traded for 49er CB
Rashard Robinson.
SF at PHI
Jaquiski Tartt and
Brock Coyle both played 70 snaps. Third Round rookie
Akhello Witherspoon played 69 snaps.
Rashard Robinson only played 16 snaps. Update: San Fran traded Robinson to the Jets so apparently Witherspoon passed his audition. Witherspoon produced in his first full game with 3 solos and an interception.
Dontae Johnson still played 53 snaps and finished with 2 solos and 1 PD.
Jimmie Ward broke his forearm after 15 snaps and went on IR.
Eric Reid didn’t come in and replace Ward. Seventh Round rookie
Adrian Colbert came in and played 55 snaps. Colbert ended with 2 solos. Reid played 27 of his 33 snaps today at LB. He put together 3 solos and 1 QB hit. He was outpaced by
Ray Ray Armstrong who had 4 solos on 36 snaps. The question becomes, how will San Fran replace Ward, Reid or Colbert?
Solomon Thomas left with a knee injury. He played 32 snaps. With
Arik Armstead already on IR, this will be significant. After joining San Fran two weeks ago,
Leger Douzable played the most snaps at DE with 57. He amassed 2 sacks among 5 solos. His 81% snap rate could even go up a little more with Thomas expected to be out a few weeks. The next DE end on the list was former Packer
Datone Jones, who was signed one week ago. Jones played 28 snaps and had 1 solos and 1 assist, both for a loss. Jones is a DT in MFL. If you’ve got an open roster spot in a DT-premium/required league, he may be worth a pickup to see if he starts to produce. His snaps were at DE because
DeForest Buckner played 55 snaps and DT
Earl Mitchell played 51 snaps.
Malcolm Jenkins, Rodney McLeod and
Nigel Bradham all played 66 snaps.
Jalen Mills was the only other Eagle north of 90% of snaps. With
Jordan Hicks on IR,
Mychal Kendricks played 52 snaps. As is usually the case, when Kendricks gets his opportunities, he produces. Kendricks led the team in tackles with 6 solos, 1 assist, 1 sack, 1 PD and a 2nd QB hit. Philly’s DEs are going to be frustrating until this 4-person committee gets narrowed down. In order, they played
Bruce Graham (44 snaps),
Derek Barnett (34 snaps),
Chris Long (33 snaps) and
Vinny Curry (32 snaps). Curry had the best game though as he had 5 solos, 1 sack, 2 TFLs and 2 more QB hits.
Patrick Robinson played 18 snaps before entering into the concussion protocol.
Rasul Douglas didn’t see a big jump in snaps through. Douglas played 30 snaps, 2 more than he played in Week 7. 2014 3rd Rounder
Dexter McDougle came in and played 32 snaps after playing 13 snaps combined over the last six weeks. McDougle only ended with 1 solo however.
Ronald Darby was questionable for this game so watch his practice reports. He could play next week, or they could hold him out one more week since they have their bye week in Week 10. The #2 DT has devolved into a committee.
Fletcher Cox played 45 snaps. Both
Beau Allen and
Timmy Jernigan played 29 snaps while
Destiny Vaeao played 17 snaps.
CAR at TB
Luke Kuechly, Thomas Davis, Mike Adams, Kurt Coleman and
James Bradberry played 67 snaps. Coleman and Kuechly both returned from injury and played 100% of snaps.
Daryl Worley played 53 snaps. They also led the Panthers in tackles. Coleman had 7 solos and 2 assists. Keuchly had 6 solos, 2 assists, 1.5 TFL and a PD. The interesting snap count here is
Shaq Thompson’s. In Weeks 1-2, Davis outsnapped Thompson. In Weeks 3-5, Thompson outsnapped Davis, convincingly so at times. This was when Davis was dealing with broken ribs. In Weeks 6-7, they both played basically 100% of snaps, while Kuechly was dealing with a concussion and absent. Against Tampa, with all three healthy, Thompson’s snaps dropped to 36, just over half as many as Davis.
Kwon Alexander, Lavonte David and
Justin Evans played 65 snaps. Evans only ended with 1 solo and 1 PD. He is a FS after all, but playing all the snaps, he should produce more than this most weeks.
Brent Grimes and
Robert McClain both missed this game, allowing
Vernon Hargreaves III and
Ryan Smith to play 63 snaps apiece.
Javien Elliott dressed for the first time and played 37 snaps as the nickel CB. If Grimes and McClain miss again, Smith looks like a decent play. He ended with 6 solos and 2 PDs.
Kendall Beckwith’s snaps dropped even further, down to 34. He ended with 1 solo and 1 assist.
Chris Conte (38 snaps) and
TJ Ward (27 snaps) continue to split time opposite Evans. With
Noah Spence on IR,
Robert Ayers played 51 snaps,
Ryan Russell (back from a dislocated shoulder) played 35 snaps and
William Gholston played 29 snaps. I think J
acquies Smith is available again. You have to imagine if he has anything left, the Bucs would sign him. Otherwise, they’re hoping 43-year old
Simeon Rice is serious about his potential comeback a decade after retiring.
PIT at DET
Ryan Shazier played 71 snaps.
Bud Dupree, TJ Watt, Sean Davis, Artie Burns and
Joe Haden played over 90% of snaps. Burns actually led the team in tackles with 8 solos, 1 assist, 1 TFL and a PD.
Vince Williams played 54 snaps and ended 2nd in total tackles with 4 solos and 4 assists.
Mike Mitchell strained his calf after playing 38 snaps. Interestingly,
JJ Wilcox still only played 1 defensive snap, for the 3rd week in a row.
Robert Golden came in to replace Mitchell and played 33 snaps. Mitchell isn’t expected to miss any time.
Stephon Tuitt didn’t play in this game due to a back injury. As with the other three games Tuitt has missed on the season,
Tyson Alualu played in his place. Alualu had 2 solos, 1 assist, 1 sack and 1 PD on 53 snaps.
Jarrad Davis, Glover Quin and
Tavon Wilson played 64 snaps.
Darius Slay took 1 snap off. Wilson was the only Lion over 5 total tackles. He had 7 solos and 4 assists.
Jalen Reeves-Maybin played 22 snaps, behind Davis and Tahir Whitehead (47 snaps) and only slightly ahead of the former 49er
Nick Bellore (15 snaps). JRM did end with 4 solos, 1 assist and 1 TFL. A potentially concerning number is 17. That’s how many snaps
Miles Killebrew played. It’s his lowest total on the season, coming off the bye. Outside of Slay, CB is a bit of a mess.
Quandre Diggs played the second most snaps with 42 at the slot.
Nevin Lawson (27 snaps) and
DJ Hayden (23 snaps) split time as the other outside CB. Lawson ended with 5 solos which creates a concern for his coverage abilities. Last year, Lawson was a solid cover CB who wasn’t a ballhawk. Obviously, no one can cover Antonio Brown, but it is something to watch. 2nd Round Rookie
Teez Tabor was a healthy scratch for the 5th game this season. At some point, they need to see what they have there.
DEN at KC
Brandon Marshall and
Justin Simmons played 62 snaps.
Darian Stewart played 61 snaps.
Aquib Talib played 59 snaps. Marshall had 7 solos and 1 assist. He was the only Bronco over 5 total tackles.
Shane Ray returned from IR. Ray played 51 snaps compared to
Von Miller’s 53 snaps. Shaq Barrett dropped down to 24 snaps as a backup. Of the three, Barrett got the sack, but his production will surely drop with the decreased snaps.
Todd Davis missed this game with an ankle injury.
Zaire Anderson came in and played 27 snaps. Anderson ended with 1 solo and 2 assists.
Will Parks played his most snaps since Week 2. Weeks 3-7, Parks hadn’t topped 32 snaps. Against KC, he played 44 snaps. He ended with 2 solos.
Derrick Johnson, Ron Parker, Daniel Sorensen, Marcus Peters and
Kenneth Acker played all 73 snaps. The two safeties led the way with tackles. Parker had 7 solos and a pick. Sorensen had 5 solos and 2 assists.
Terrence MItchell was demoted which is too bad because I think he was the highest scoring CB going into Week 7. Acker took his place. Acker was traded from San Fran in August after he lost his starting job to
Dontae Johnson. Acker ended with 5 solos, 1 assist and an interception. Honestly, I think I intercepted a Siemian pass Monday night… Acker is definitely worth a pickup in most CB premium/required leagues. QBs don’t want to throw it at Peters and KC will force teams to throw. Nickel CB
Phillip Gaines was also demoted.
Steven Nelson was activated off IR and came into play 53 snaps in the slot. Nelson had 2 solos, 2 assists and a PD.
Reggie Ragland played 20 snaps and ended with 2 solos and 2 assists.
Justin Houston had 2 sacks to go with 5 total solos and 1 assist in 63 snaps. Allen Bailey played 55 snaps at DE.
Chris Jones saw his snaps drop though. His 36 snaps are tied for his second lowest snap total on the season.
Jarvis Jenkins had played 26 snaps spread over 3 games prior to Monday Night. On Monday night, Jenkins added 20 snaps to his total. 2nd Round Rookie
Tanoh Kpassagnon had played 4 snaps over the previous 7 games. Kpassagnon played 10 snaps on Monday night. None of the three put up a huge stat line.
Dee Ford hurt his back in this game and only played 28 snaps.
Frank Zombo played 45 snaps in his place. Zombo didn’t have a stat.
Did I do it right
@Hankmoody?
