**SNF at SoFi - Eagles at Rams** (+3, 49) 8:20 (2 Viewers)

I think the Eagles stay hot on both sides of the ball, and I don't think the loss of DeVonta Smith really matters much this week.

Cooper Kupp vs Cooper DeJean should be a fun matchup, and one I think DeJean can win. I think Puka vs Slay (unless Mitchell travels, which is unlikely) is more likely to be a matchup the Rams win.

I think the usual suspects keep trucking along, with perhaps a slightly more pass heavy offense, since the Rams can at least push them. I think this a potential smash week for AJ Brown, with no Smith and against a poor secondary. Barkley should have consistent success as the Eagles OL should dominate, and Hurts feels like a good bet for 3-4 TDs between passing and tush push. He's my pick for QB1 this week.

Another Home Dog
Eagles on a win streak
Rams just stay in the playoff picture
Will So-fi be over taken by green jerseys tonight?
Either way I said cover or win for all The Home Dogs
So...

Los Angeles- 29
Philadelphia- 27

Can't stop the run, can't/won't run the ball. Not a good recipe against the Eagles.

Excited to see the young DBs against this passing game. Think they're going to shine tonight.

Eagles 33-24.

Hopefully Eagles haven't been reading their press clippings for 10 days. Need to come out hungry. Rams are surging.

It’s going to sound like the Linc out in LA. Birds fans travel better than any team in the nfl and LA is usually their best showing. Stafford might have to go silent count in his own stadium.

Slim reaper not playing makes me a little concerned. I still think our defense is playing lights out and has the ability to shut down this offense. We really need the pass rush to actually get home to Stafford and push him out of the pocket.

I think it’s going to be a monster AJ Brown game tonight and heavy dose of Saquon and Gainwell towards the end of the game.
My hot take prediction is that we get two pics on Stafford with a game ending pick six from Quinyon.

Eagles win 34-24

Big game for both teams. Philly wants to stay in the hunt for the NFC 1 seed. If they lose today, the road becomes statistically almost impossible. Rams want to just stay in the playoff hunt in the NFCW.

Both teams on the rise and playing better.

Rams getting Kupp and Puka back, getting some key Oline pieces back, makes a big difference. Chris Shula has their D playing sneaky good with a bunch of 1st and 2nd year players on the Dline, and improved secondary.

Philly’s been playing much better since the bye, with the self-scouting and putting the rookie DeJean on the field. Defense is in the top 5 in just about every category- credit to Vic Fangio.

Last year, AJ and Goedert had huge games against the Rams, combining for over 200 yds. That might be key today with DeVonta out with a hammy. Rams are improved over last year, though: better up front and better in the secondary. AJ will get his today, but Goedert will be boom/bust. LAR covering TEs much better this year. Saquon will still be the key to this game, though. If PHL gets a lead in the 2nd half, a heavy dose of Barkley to close the game means a solid win by 7.

Both teams have the same Offensive malady of starting slowly. I think the Rams are statistically 2nd worst to the Eagles, who are still historically bad in the 1st QTR. That continues today. Both Offenses are going to be putting in packages to get a read on how the Defenses are playing different packages. Low-scoring 1st Half and it won’t surprise me if the Rams are up at Halftime.

Biggest and most important match-up of the game is Rams’ O vs Fangio D. A lot of talking heads playing up how Fangio designed the blueprint on how to stop McVay’s Offense and cost them a Super Bowl. That was 6 years ago, and McVay is one of the sharpest Offensive minds in football and has Kupp and Nacua and Williams (tho he don’t run him enough) with Stafford at QB- who is exactly the kind if QB who can pick apart this Philly D, if he’s not pressured.

Nakua is going to get his, in spades. 10 targets will be his floor in this game. And they will do everything to get him isolated on Slay or CJGJ as the primary tackler and hope he tears them up with YAC.

Bottom line: the Offensive line is still missing key pieces and working out the kinks of being a cohesive unit. Philly generates pressure and doesn’t give Stafford time to throw. Jalyx Hunt is a name you will hear a couple times tonight. Carter will dominate up the middle and Sweat, Nolan Smith and BG all get sacks. Maybe a FF (Stafford has fumbled the last 3 games, just hasn’t lost one, yet). Base D for Fangio is quarters, and the young D is playing disciplined as a unit, so they won’t be phased by all the motion. There’ll be a couple of impact plays by LAR, due to communication breakdowns by the young guys. I can see DeJean struggling some. But, overall the Philly D wins this game.

Take the under, take the Birds in a close game that doesn’t feel as close as the score.

EDIT: Plus, I figured nobody would read that wall of text. It was mostly wishcasting by me, and throwing up pregame ritual.

In before "The Rams are a bad football team and should easily be beat"

Predicting 27-24, not sure for who. Should be a good one.

Rams won't be an easy out. I think Eagles defense leads the way and Eagles grit out a close one, something like 23-17, but score could easily flip on an untimely turnover or two

Rams win they're tied for first in their division
They lose they're a game out
The NFC WEST
Where mediocrity creates excitement

I think Stafford is the type of QB that can pick a defense apart. And he has the WR's to do it. I think The Rams find a way to get up early and I think when the Eagles are behind Sirianni seems to make bad decisions to get back into game. I think he is a much better coach when playing with a lead. Just something I've noticed. Normally he goes for 4th down too much and it works because he has so many weapons such as Devonte smith and AJ but without Smith playing tonight, I'm not so sure the percentages are the same for going for it so much on 4th down, yet I don't think he can hold back from going for it.

Rams 24
Eagles 21

Why underhand the challenge flag? Make a game of it, I want to know who can throw it the farthest. Or who could hit a ref in the crotch with the toss but make it look like an accident.
