Snow alert in Green Bay this Sunday (1 Viewer)

PLEASE send the Shady Snow tire specials to Lacy. Would love to see that big ole snowball of a man get rolling in the powder.

Everything I've seen locally is snow but not much wind. I'm not sure I'd be dropping Crosby if it's purely concerns about the weather. Not even sure how much snow there will be. Right now it looks like the southern part of the state (like Madison) is going to be hit the hardest.

Sunday

Snow
27°F | 21°F
  • Dew Point: 25°
  • Humidity: 92%
  • Chance of Precipitation: 90%
  • Wind Speed: 14mph
  • Rain Accumulation: 0 in
  • Snow Accumulation: 4.2 in
  • Ice Accumulation: 0 in
NFLweather has it as 100% chance of precipitation now, not sure where they are getting that. On the other hand 92% humidity sure sounds like some kind of rain/snow event, though obviously that can be very minimal, like just traces of snow on the ground.

To be fair to Lacy, he didn't think his asthma would flare up. He came out of the OT game for a series vs MIN, his first "real" cold game where the temp was 19, (7 wind chill). He is now aware of it and is taking measures, including having his inhaler on the sideline. He didn't have to come out of the ATL game where the temp was 9 (-1 wind chill). If you want to downgrade, fine but I wouldn't make it a significant one

With one storm on its way out of Northeastern Wisconsin, another is set to blast the area Sunday afternoon with 4 to 8 inches of snow in some areas.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch from midnight Saturday to 6 p.m. Sunday.

“Although it is still too early to determine the exact placement of the heaviest snow, the latest models show an increasing threat for a heavy snow event over east-central Wisconsin, where 4 to 8 inches of snow is possible,” the Weather Service said.

Going to the game on Sunday and traveling so watching the weather closely. Supposed to get snow starting Saturday night and most of it should wrap up by noon or so with some lingering snow showers in the afternoon. Green Bay is on the northern edge of the storm track with just 1-3 inches just northwest of Green Bay so if the storm tracks just one county to the south Green Bay should see very little. Doesn't sound like it will be a big problem for playing the game. More so for traveling.

Entire state is getting creamed. Looks like it should be done before game time though. Should be a fun one to watch

Drive safe

Sounds like football heaven. A snow game in December at Lambeau between two historic franchises. Have a great time.

Ughhh....snow,wind,Flynn, and Ike Taylor

Crazy to bench Jordy for either Spiller vs MIA or Hartline @BUF?

Sunday's Steelers-Packers game at Lambeau Field is expected to be played in snow with 10-13 MPH winds.
According to Weather.com, there's a 60 percent chance of snow for much of the day in Green Bay. There's going to be some accumulation by game time, and snow should be falling most of the afternoon. Temperatures are expected to be in the low 20s. Look for the Packers to pound Eddie Lacy. He's a locked-in RB1.

And the Steelers and Bell too.

Antonio Brown was my backup plan if Calcin can't play....
For some reason I am not concerned about Antonio Brown. Perhaps I'm just being overly optimistic, but I'm hoping that he's still heavily involved with screen passes, etc.

About 40 miles from Green Bay. Forecast is for the snow to taper off by noon and scattered light snow showers for the game. The snow has already let up and I don't see it being a problem The wind would be more of a concern.

I'm concerned but playing him too--over Riley, against the Foles owner. Tough call not to try for the matchup play--if he goes off like before I'll be :hot:
