So.... after two weeks, who do you regret drafting? (1 Viewer)

Raider Nation

In your most important, main league..... tell me:

- Which players you regret drafting.

- Which players you flat out wasted a draft pick on.

- Which players you are nervous about.

For me:

Edge in the 1st round - (still VERY nervous about his crappy O-line)

Randy Moss in the 3rd round - (deeply regret the pick)

DeShaun Foster in the 6th round - (thought it was amazing value -- regret the pick)

Chris Brown in the 9th round - (wasted pick)

Mark Brunell in the 12th round - (wasted pick)

Somehow, I'm still 2-0. That won't last if Edge and Moss don't step it up.

I regret drafting L. Jordan over Rudi with the 2.10, I over analyzed his situation (tuff schedule my #*#).Therefore, I wasted my draft pick on Jordan.

I'm nervous about M. Bulger, Rivers scored more than he did for the second week in a row.

P.S. I'm 0-2 in this league.

Lee Evans in every league I'm in. He's killing me.

Also have Thomas Jones in several leagues, and I'm less than impressed.

In a big money league where you can start 2 QBs(a flex that is any position) , I drafted QB Delhomme at 4.10 and QB Bulger at 5.03. The 5.04 pick? QB McNabb.

Uggggghh..I just had a bad feeling about McNabb's health. Nothing exact, just a gut. I felt I was going to be very right or feeling major regret. It is definitely the latter.

I did draft a good team and am in first place. But McNabb instead of either one of those teams and I would be great.

Obvious answer here, Jake Plummer....i don't see him being yanked anytime soon, but if the subpar performances keep up, it could be trouble. Thankfully they won today.

Rod Smith. I was super-high on him, and I was shocked at how little value the fantasy community had given him.

Looks like the egg may be on me, here.

I dont quite have regrets yet, but have concern.

I would say Im worried about D. Foster, but I was never very high on him - just was a value pick and I needed a RB. I think D. Williams has more ability but a RBBC is now very possible unless Williams can just take over.

Daunte Culpepper worries me and yet also has me excited about his prospected. The fact is, he gets garbage time numbers and as a #2 QB in a two QB league, he is still valuable. With the Titans coming up, Im hoping for some turn around.

Joe Horn worries me a bit too, but he had a decent game today and a nice long reception.

yeesh...i would be in panic mode if i were you.better luck next year. :bye:

I'll second the Thomas Jones sentiment... Benson must really be awful if he can't seize the #1 role. How many more mediocre performances can TJ put up before the Bears' veterans waver on their support of him?

Getting a bit nervous on Bush... but I guess it's too soon to worry.

Edge in the 1st at 1.11 (nervous)

T. Bell in the 5th (nervous, hate the Denver RB situation. Also hate the offense thus far)

T.J Duckett in the 8th (probably a wasted pick). I grabbed Portis in the 2nd btw.

Still 2-0 and leading league in points due to Eli Manning & WR's - Ward, Driver, & Coles (yardage heavy league)

Drafted before preseason....

5.Portis

20. TO

29. D. Davis (When learned of injury spent draft picks on A. Smith, Lundy, Morency, to secure the postioin, only for them to sign Gado and Dayne)

:bag: :banned: :wall:

Regret trading down from 5 to 10 in my main league. There's never any love for Rudi, and I thought he was going to be there. The guy who had Caddy last year took Rudi at 9, and I settled for Cadillac at 10. Didn't think he'd be this bad, but I did see a big drop-off from RJ to him.

Regret taking Randy Moss.

Regret not trading up to take Michael Vick when I had the chance.

Possibly wasted a pick on Mare (coulda had Kaeding).

Michael Koenen

Stupid little ba**ard, thanks for the -14 points this week...i only lost by 7 so appreciate the 4 missed FGs

Yep, drafted him to be my value RB#2 in a bunch of leagues. I'm hoping Grossman stops throwing TD's and TJ will start running the damn thing in :loco:

Bulger......extremely nervous

Ben Watson.....could have had lots of guys and already had depth at other positions, but was so high on his potential with the dearth of WRs in NE that he was going to be my guy.

In my 14 teamer:

5.11 Lee Evans - Making me very nervous, especially as potential replacements are being snagged off the WW

6.04 Wali Lundy - Dropping him this week

7.11 Ben Watson - Could have had LJ Smith, hope I don't regret it.

8.04 Aaron Brooks - Been a staple of mine for years, dropped him for Alex Smith last week

9.11 Chris Brown - Was hoping for more, but Brandon Jacobs is the only RB tkaen later than this that has shown any potential

11.11 TE Alex Smith - Dropped last week for Desmond Clark, who I may very well start over Watson nxt week

he had some critical blocks today that gave Grossman the time he needed to pick apart the Lions with the passing game.Jones may not be lighting things up from a fantasy perspective but he's been playing great football for the Bears these past 2 weeks. Very far from mediocre, IMO.

3rd round: Reggie Bush - In hindsight I'm not sure who I would've picked instead, but since I got Gore in round 5, Reggie doesn't seem likely to crack my lineup soon. I really didn't think Deuce would look this good coming off the injury. I guess I'm not nervous because I have Gore, but I feel this pick could have been put to better use.

9th round: Aaron Brooks - Totally WASTED pick. I already cut the guy in favor of Grossman.

Other than that, all is well and my team is dominant.

Lee Evans.

M. Bell - :bag: I had no other chioce. It was an 18 team league and I got stuck with him as my 2nd back. If only Tiki or Warrick dunn would get hurt

Sorry, just going off the numbers. I didn't see the Bears play today because I was at the Eagles game. :X

Tom Brady as my QB1. Plummer and McNair are my Qb2 and 3, and neither of them excite me, either.

D Foster as my RB2 (luckily I have McCallister as well)

I regretted buying Stallworth instead of Matt Jones in my Dynasty auction. Soon after, Stallworth was traded to the Eagles and suddenly I liked that pick.

My deep regret is getting Ben Troupe and Vernon Davis over Ben Watson. I still like Davis, but Troupe is pathetic so far. I think Troupe has the talent to be a very good TE, but ONE CATCH IN TWO GAMES?!

"Lament" Jordon

Randy "Moss on his hands"

Ruben "gives the sandwich a bad name" Droughns

Aaron "2A" Brooks

Lee "not heavens" Evans

Caddy (2.02) -- didn't even play him this week, so I guess that all's not lost.

I'm in a league which the prize for weekly high score will be around $1500 per week. I've never been in this kind of league and tought I was being clever when I decided to make sure I got a QB and his top pass catching combo for the added chance of having a big week. Due to this when I picked at 5.12 and 6.1 I went with Ben Watson and Tom Brady despite the fact I liked Mcnabb more than Brady. Had I not been trying to get a QB and his top target I would have picked Mcnabb at 5.12, either Antontio Bryant or Matt Jones at 6.1(I had not yet decided, Mushin Muhammad at 7.12 and LJ Smith at 8.1.

So in a pretty high stakes league this one theory of mine netted me Brady, Watson, Muhammad and Eddie Kennsion(who I picked at 8.1) instead of Mcnabb, AB or Matt Jones, Muhammad and LJ Smith. I'm sick about it.

Oh this is easy.

7th round: Rod Smith

8th round: Mi. Clayton

11th round: Brooks

Way to do absolutely nothing guys. Grats.

Was Reuben Droughns really that bad Sunday to be on this list? He was worth 7 for me, which is pretty solid. Its not spectacular, but its solid value for what his place is on my team.

As for Thomas Jones losing support from the vets, they're 2-0 and have put up like 60 points. I think Urlacher and Co. look at the big picture there.

I might regret drafting Mike Bell at the end of the year. But I don't regret it now. I'll wait to see how it plays out. I'm not real happy to have Antonio Gates in a league where TEs are merely WRs.

I regret not getting Donte Stallworth. I regret cutting Chad Jackson Saturday.

I do not regret trading Chris Brown for Corey Dillon and R. Droughns Friday. I don't regret drafting Laurence Maroney.

I play in 6 $$ leagues and pretty much regret every QB I chose with the exception of McNabb. In two leagues I chose Brady over McNabb. In all others I drafted all the "value" QB's. I waited until late and have a mix of Plummer, Brooks, Favre, Simms... :bag: I forgot about T. Green. Hopefully, he'll bounce back.

Other "values" Foster, C. Brown, Droughns, K. Jones... :X

Michael Clayton, R. Smith, S. Smith over C. Johnson

The QB's are really killing me though.

M.Bulgar ... looks like he just doesn't get this new offence - CONCERNED

C.Carter ... CPep looks terrible and Carter is uninvolved in the offence till way late - CONCERNED

Edge ... for such a huge O-line how can these guy's be so bad - Very CONCERNED

:violin:

Randy Moss

Thomas Jones

Randy Moss

Reuben Droughns

Randy Moss

Trent Green (hopefully he will be OK and I have Vick too)

and

RANDY MOSS!!!

I agree. Detroit played the run very well week one. So did Green bay but the plan has been to pass. That will change as teams adjust.

You would think I would regret taking Steve Smith in the first round (at 1.9), but I don't. Why? Because had I not taken him, I would have taken Lamont Jordan or Steven Jackson, neither of whom I wanted or was crazy about at all. More importantly, I wouldn't have taken both Chester Taylor and Frank Gore, in the 3rd and 4th rounds, respectively.

Everyone questioned me taking Steve Smith and Marvin Harrison in the first two rounds, and waiting until the 3rd round to take my first RB, but so far, it has worked out. I will likely be 5-1 after two weeks (we play three opponents every week).

Oh, and Amani Toomer has been my sub both weeks for Steve Smith. I was more than just a little happy with his performance yesterday. :D

Not too many worries, but any is enough, no?

Mostly QBs, after drafting value guys like Plummer and Brooks. Wish I'd taken Vick in a couple of cases but couldn't believe the projs.

Delhomme - 8th round

Kennison - 9th round

Aaron Brooks - 14th round (go Alex Smith...scored me 14.5 points...grabbed him off waivers last Wed)

Taking Watson with Miller and LJ Smith still on the board. Other than that, l like my team, thankfully.

I remember being upset that Mason went the pick before me as I wanted him for the season. The player that "fell" to me.... Gore.

Specifically, the Texans RB's. 'nuff said.

In general, I thought it would be a shark move to wait on RB's and go stud WR with my 2nd & 3rd round picks and then grab some of the Hou-Ten-Car-Den-etc. combo's to be my RB2-4. That strategy is not at all working right now.

Really regretting Plummer. If I had started Pennington instead of Plummer, I'd probably be 1-1 now instead of a certain 0-2. :wall:

I didn't expect Corey Dillon to be sharing carries with Maroney to this degree so early in the season. I have them both but choosing which to start is proving annoying.
