I'm sure several other employees would like to see the guy fired as well. He's not a team player and causes problems when we try to work with him. He bosses people around and his famous line is "it's not your money it's our money". He parrots this over and over while screwing up left and right. He's right. It's not always about who is right and wrong. Perception is often reality. You need to handle this with diplomacy and strive to find a way to co-exist. Whether or not you can kick his ### or he carries a firearm shouldn't be part of the equation.
You're totally right. Most of us speak super professionally and eloquently when we are angry and emotionally charged. The guy must be a complete loser. Thank god you have him by 40 pounds and are built like a well conditioned football player. As soon as he got angry he began speaking a dialect most often associated with impoverished neighborhoods.
Do most of you look to pick a fight with a coworker within earshot of your customers? You're totally right. but you said you are working at a "classy joint"????As soon as he got angry he began speaking a dialect most often associated with impoverished neighborhoods.
I am which is why there is no place for this kind of behavior. He is capable of using other dialects when interviewing for a job or interacting with customersbut you said you are working at a "classy joint"????![]()
I was just pointing out that it is a ghetto thing then, and not a Texas thing. As I wrote, best to stick with one idiom. You don't need to be a redneck to have a gun. The guy is ghetto.
It could be any other state with liberal gun laws.I was just pointing out that it is a ghetto thing then, and not a Texas thing. As I wrote, best to stick with one idiom.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IPjvDE-rKo0He was ready to start a fist fight at work in the dining room of afine restaurant because he perceived to have been "disrespected" . He repeated several time " we can go any time you want dog"! I think you can figure it out.
Do most new employees find it to be their role to participate in dissension in the workplace weeks after getting hired? If the guy was soo bad--other employees that are there probably have quietly complained to management about him. If he was yelling in front of customers--I'm sure it was documented and noticed by other employees. Know your role and stay in your lane. You are the lowest person on the totem pole at that job. Be grateful for the paycheck--so document the incident--quietly speak to a manager if it was that bad--and move on and mind your business. We all have junk that happens in our lives and in our workplaces--we don't all have to treat them in a manner that somehow makes us the center of attention. You acting like a peacock-and acting like you are some protector of morality and professional business practices is beyond laughable. Worry about yourself. You are a 30 plus year old dude that is admittedly possibly an alcoholic, is not in a great financial situation, and is galavanting around having unprotected sex--and you think that ruffling feathers at the one good thing that you have going for you (your new job) is a good idea? Sometimes it's okay to stay quiet and not draw attention to yourself--I know that's something that is not in your DNA.Do most of you look to pick a fight with a coworker within earshot of your customers?
I have noticed you like to argue from positions of weakness rather than to take what you can from comments and leave the rest. Now we have you going back to include State aspects. Ghettto absolutely does not concern itself with State gun laws. You are contradicting yourself. It could be any other state with liberal gun laws.
It's obvious you've lost the plot.Do most new employees find it to be their role to participate in dissension in the workplace weeks after getting hired? He's ghetto so I'll assume he has a gun.I have noticed you like to argue from positions of weakness rather than to take what you can from comments and leave the rest. Now we have you going back to include State aspects. Ghettto absolutely does not concern itself with State gun laws. You are contradicting yourself.
I suggest you refer back to the story I related about the bird falling from the bough.
There you go, a nice neat, easy to understand premise succinctly conveyed. He's ghetto so I'll assume he has a gun.
Have a nice day and enjoy being enabled by the enablers. It's obvious that you have no clue when people give you advice that's actually helpful. Enjoy your existence of being a constant victim of circumstance and braising ground beef. It's obviously done wonders for your build. It's obvious you've lost the plot.
I'm going to use this line with him. Should really piss him off. There you go, a nice neat, easy to understand premise succinctly conveyed.
Rok and the ghetto guy become best pals, open their own restaurant and solve crimes together?Yeah I think we all know how this episode is gonna end
i forget this story was it a black bird?I have noticed you like to argue from positions of weakness rather than to take what you can from comments and leave the rest. Now we have you going back to include State aspects. Ghettto absolutely does not concern itself with State gun laws. You are contradicting yourself.

fixedRok and the ghetto guy become best pals, opentheir own restauranta bed and breakfast, and solve crimes together?
That is a no go. Pot and beer are a bit difficult to obtain in prison.Have you thought about committing a 2nd degree felony and living on the government teet for the next 2 - 20 years?
have you seen Orange Is The New Black? he just has to do some dirty work for someone that is connected or...provide sexual favors to him. That is a no go. Pot and beer are a bit difficult to obtain in prison.
obviously he did nothing wrong. The guy just randomly goes off.You basically yada yada'd the good stuff. What was he saying to bust your balls and what lead up to it?
Constantly trying to correct things with a poor attitude. Jumping into other people's sections and then trying to conduct everything. Usually getting things wrong and trying to send other people to do things he doesnt want to do. Never making these requests politely. You basically yada yada'd the good stuff. What was he saying to bust your balls and what lead up to it?
That does not explain why he jumped you. You had to say something back to trigger that, even if it was just something like 'mind your own section' or perhaps a '####'.Constantly trying to correct things with a poor attitude. Jumping into other people's sections and then trying to conduct everything. Usually getting things wrong and trying to send other people to do things he doesnt want to do. Never making these requests politely.
maybe the guy is just a #####?Constantly trying to correct things with a poor attitude. Jumping into other people's sections and then trying to conduct everything. Usually getting things wrong and trying to send other people to do things he doesnt want to do. Never making these requests politely.
Are you suggesting to put the goal of getting out of poverty above this squabble? If so, that sentiment seems misplaced.maybe the guy is just a #####?
let it go. keep your head down and do your job. at some point either you, or he, will move on to something else.
He did say a ways back that he hasn't matured emotionally past 16. Makes sense.Jesus, am I supposed to believe RokNRole is in his mid 30's? He's acting like he's 16 on his first job.
Yeah, I'm starting to doubt his genius IQ.Jesus, am I supposed to believe RokNRole is in his mid 30's? He's acting like he's 16 on his first job.
What would that have to do with maturity?jamny said:Yeah, I'm starting to doubt his genius IQ.
Maybe because you are only telling us part of the story.Whatsm I getting flak for?
The guy threatened violence against me.
Nothing to do with maturity. What would that have to do with maturity?
Not really. I expressed my displeasure with how he tries to "help" and he went apeMaybe because you are only telling us part of the story.
If this is true, then you should speak to a manager. This person has created a hostile work environment for you.The guy threatened violence against me.
I walked away to diffuse the situation as best I could.Nothing to do with maturity.
High IQ suggest an exceptional ability at problem solving and reasoning. Also being able to interpret information better than most. Many of the situations that you find yourself in seem to indicate the opposite.
That was kind of an important part of the story to omit. Probably the key part of the story. Not really. I expressed my displeasure with how he tries to "help" and went ape
I made no such comments other than telling him "stop" "go away" and "act like an adult"If this is true, then you should speak to a manager. This person has created a hostile work environment for you.
Keep in mind that the manager will take statements from other workers. Should those statements prove that you made any threatening comments back to the worker, you will both be reprimanded up to and including termination.
I said the same thing in the original synopsis. Didn't you read it?That was kind of an important part of the story to omit. Probably the key part of the story.
Upwards or parallel feedback to a boss or coworker is perfectly acceptable in the workplace as long as it's done with tact. Telling someone to go away, or act like an adult is not constructive feedback. I would have pulled him aside after the shift and explained that his behavior sends mixed signals to myself and other team members on what we are trying to accomplish. And while I appreciate his assistance with helping me become acclimated to my new role here, I think it would be best if I took direction only from my direct supervisor.I made no such comments other than telling him "stop" "go away" and "act like an adult"

Yes. What you originally stated was that you expressed your frustration. I did not get from that you told him to 'go away' and 'act like and adult'.I said the same thing in the original synopsis. Didn't you read it?
I said those things while he was following me around and mouthing off IN the dining room.Upwards or parallel feedback to a boss or coworker is perfectly acceptable in the workplace as long as it's done with tact. You can't control how someone else acts. You can only control how you act.I said those things while he was following me around and mouthing off IN the dining room.
