So hungover this morning I accidently wore two different shoes (2 Viewers)

I'm technically single, living on my own and I work in a restaurant. I have obligations outside of going to work and paying my bills and I can even drink the night before work because the earliest I ever go in is 11am.
When the day comes I have a family to look after I will not be drinking with near this frequency and volume. For now my free time consists of video games and beer and I feel like living the dream.

It was only to illustrate my behavior at the time. I was having a rough and frustrating time. I mentioned it in the past tense and haven't brought it up since.
"Really thinking about doing it"?
What does that mean? Who knows at the time they are thinking about it if they will really do it? Just thinking about it is enough to worry someone.

People come here to be entertained, why does it matter if it is true or not? Maybe it is just me, but the thing in this world that puzzles me the most is the fact that people (I am sure I have been guilty of it too) are why people are so worried about what everyone else is doing. If it doesn't affect you then why do you care?

Thanks for the answer. Only you knew what you meant at the time you were thinking/posting it. We don't. Initially, we must take you at face value and respect your emotional state. As I mentioned already, you used the comment to convey the amount of unhappiness you were experiencing at that time. Not that you were actually considering it. This is akin to crying wolf in order for everyone to take you serious (and give you attention). The results backfired and hopefully you learned from it.
I don't have a monopoly on suicide. But as in the real world, this board will call you out if your are disingenuous. Whether that be racist, hateful, or otherwise. As I mentioned, I've had my run ins with posters. Some still hate me and have me on ignore. I don't try harder to get them to listen or agree with me. I move on and know tomorrow is another day.

If this was the case, then there would be no reason for anyone to post in 99% of the threads. It's known if you post or start a thread, you should expect a certain amount of shtick.
So? People aren't allowed to talk about their feelings?
And if you recall when I said it, weeks ago, that I was only explaining my recent behavior some days prior, not speaking as if I was feeling that way at the moment. It's being taken completely out of context.

Might be too late. I was just going to say if I had my life to do all over again I'd teach myself how to drink responsibly, rather than all the time and with gusto.

I don't know. I'm not aware of how much you drink or how often. Age 33 is about when I quit. From age 21 to then I hit it pretty hard.
I drink a few light beers a few nights a week and play Xbox.Where did people get the impression I'm plastered 24/7?

Well you did get angry when the clerked asked if you wanted your beer in a brown paper bag. Then got angry again when alcohol sales stopped at Midnight. The solution was to get hammered at 7am.

Shtick or not, "I'm braising the ground beef" is one of the funnier things I've ever seen in here.
It really tied the sauce together.
Its a legit way of making a meat sauce. I don't see what's so funny.

RNRs meat sauce
Ingredients
2 28 oz cans crushed tomatoes
1 14.5 ounce can petite diced tomatoes
1 pound ground beef
1 very small yellow onion, diced
4 medium cloves garlic, crushed
1 pound Rigatoni
1 container Ricotta cheese
5-6 large basil leaves, chopped
Grated parmesan cheese
Red table or cooking wine
Sautee onion and garlic in a medium/large sauce pot with about 5-6 tablespoons olive oil. Once onions begin to turn translucent add ground beef. Stir until lightly browned. Add red win just until the meat is covered and braise on low/medium heat until most of the liquid is evaporated.
Add basil, crushed and diced tomatoes and simmer on low heat until slightly bubbling but not splattering. Summer for 1.5-2 hours stirring frequently until sufficiently thickened.
Serve over al dente rigatoni with a large scoop of ice cold ricotta. Sprinkle with Parmesan to taste.

Maybe it is and maybe it isn't. If nothing else, all his activity is in one thread. Given the number of people who listed his constant thread-starting as a gripe, isn't that a net win in and of itself.
Even if Rok gets nothing out of this, even if everything he says is BS, at the absolute minimum, the FFA is less cluttered. So, where is the downside?

I never had a problem with him creating threads. Never really had a problem with his posting of everyday life questions. My only problem is when he asks for advice and takes it to the extreme when people don't agree with his point of view. I don't think anyone can fix that. That will come from the source.

A lot of other people did. And if you've noticed, I spent a good number of posts recently trying to work with him on accepting advice and better articulating his understanding / appreciation of said advice. It won't happen overnight. Maybe it will never happen at all. Who knows? If you think it's a waste of time, feel free to avoid this thread entirely. That's why I asked him to do any and all solicitation here, so it would be easy to avoid.

If you haven't noticed, I am one of the few that has been trying to give him advice. He chooses to dismiss it with obtuse comments. I will join the ranks that will no longer offer assistance.

i disagree that hes been a punching bag cuz punching bags dont hit back or start the punching. ive watched his crap for a long time and ive seen other posters like eminence, tim, squistion, etc. get a much tougher ride. nobody really stands up for them and suggests maybe people dial it down or back off a bit.
im not sure why this guy gets your empathy and others dont? to be honest im not sure why you made a big announcement about being willing to help him out. it could have been done behind the scenes by PMs. so, why do u care so much about letting us know u r trying to help him on these boards?

All I can gather from this is that you don't like Rok and I guess that has you peeved that I am trying to help him assimilate. If so, fine. Sit in this thread all day and take pot shots from the balcony. Whatever passes the time.
