If you are seriously questioning whether you may be an alcoholic, I would suggest you go to one or more OPEN AA meetings and just listen.  Don't compare your life to theirs, but try to identify with the feelings people talk about.  Anyone can attend an open meeting, so don't worry about being out of place.
