12-teamer, rotisserie style. Hanging in there so far, but I fear it's only a matter of time 'til my weak hitters cost me.

Here's my team and a quick summary of who's available.

Scoring Categories:

Batting: R, H, HR, RBI, SB, K, AVG, OPS

Pitching: W, L, SV, K, BB, HLD, ERA, OBPA

Sandoval (C, 1B, 3B)

Votto (1B)

F Lopez (2B, 3B, SS, OF)

J Cantu (1B, 3B)

Escobar (SS)

J Lopez (1B, 2B)

Holiday, Ludwick, Abreu, Wells, Crisp (OF)

start each infield spot, 3 OF, 1 utility (so my bench has 2 guys)

Pitchers:

Starters: Sabathia, Oswalt, Lincecum, Hamels, Jered Weaver

Relief: K-Rod, M Rivera, K Wood, Ziegler, Arrendondo

----------------------

I like my pitching so mainly this is a hitting q.

Available guys:

Bonficacio (2B, 3B)

Scutaro (2B, SS, 3B)

Nyjer Morgan (OF)

Expletive-dome (OF - Cubs)

T Snider (OF)

Cust (OF)

Hafner (Util only)

Spilborgs (OF)

Varitek ©

I-Rod ©

The rook from Baltimore isn't availble btw.

Laird (C - Det)

Thanks for any and all wisdom you can grant! :lmao:

Cust

Spilborghs

are all off to good starts. Spilborghs has probably the most consistency, but Cust may provide the highest upside. His BA will usually kill you in roto, but if he can stay above .250, then he is worth it for the HR's that he will bring. ####odome started out strong last year and then faded badly. I'd watch him a little longer before making a move.

Grab at least two of those guys and then maybe try to make a deal for a SS or 2B.

If Weiters has yet to be claimed, take him and then stash him on your bench

Wieters is gone (that's the "kid from baltimore" I mentioned in the OP.

The M's catching prospect is still out there (I can't recall his name).

Just noticed that I-Rod and Varitek are now incorporated apparently :lmao:

I would Coco is the first guy I should cut. Who else should I use to make room (again I don't wanna touch the pitchers - Arrendondo is there in large part b/c he's my only source of Holds.)

Thx again :)

First of all, I assume you're going to be starting 4 OF's with one at utility basically every day.

I would drop Crisp for Travis Snider personally. That kid has major upside which you need honestly in the offensive Cats. OF isn't really your problem though. I think I'd be comfortable starting 4 of Holiday, Ludwick, Abreu, Wells, Snider everyday... so no need for more moves there IMO.

You don't need to pick up another catcher. Sandoval should be fine, and most of his value comes from being C eligible so you wouldn't want to move him. If it is an option, I would try dealing one of your closers for a solid 2B. What you have going on there is overkill IMO. If you can flip Rivera and J.Lopez for a solid middle infielder, do that and pick up another setup man or a setup man with potential to close (Ryan Franklin?). Good luck and ask more questions if you've got more specifics.

I would not deal for a player, I just get Boni or Scut from the WW (drop Cantu)

And I'd get Hafner and probably drop one of the RPs. With your top two, you really don;t need that stong of a backend there.

Thanks for all the input so far, it's been a big help. I like the Blue Jays so I think picking up Snider for Coco is a natural :lmao:

In terms of 2B, there is a guy who has put Mark DeRosa on the trading block (he also has Brandon Phillips, as well as 2B/3B eligible Ian Stewart).

He is seeking relief help as well as he only has Putz, Grant Balfour and Chris Ray in the bullpen.

Does me offering K Wood or Ziegler for DeRosa make sense? Is it conceivable I could even make a play for Phillips?

He also does have Jeter on the block so that's a possibility since I could continue to play Felipe Lopez at 2B.

Thanks for the reassurance on my team  It was a yahoo autopick that I plugged the sportsline rankings into (hence the pitcher glut).

QG, you might try Rivera and either Lopez for Phillips. If not, Derosa is still an upgrade for you. Ziegler for Derosa seems pretty close to me.

Update, a guy has mentioned Inge (C, 3B, OF) and Cabrera (SS) as guys he could see trading. Cabrera does nothing for me at and I'm not particularly interested in him. Is Inge's hot start more of a flash in the pan type thing? I feel like I'm kind of answering my own question as I type this but perhaps I'm missing something :banned:

Cheers

I'll add that perhaps a different solution to my current situation would be to pick up either Bonifacio or Aaron Hill and drop Jose Lopez, who's off to a rough start. Is this short sighted of me or does it make sense?

Thx again :banned:
