That's it.Loopdog said:could also have to do with the fact that Wade Phillips now has DeMarcus Ware playing Shawne Merriman this year in Dallas. The Chargers whole team is in shambles and I hope Marty Schottenheimer is sitting at home laughing every week
It is sad what a ####ty coach can do with amazing talent.Loopdog said:could also have to do with the fact that Wade Phillips now has DeMarcus Ware playing Shawne Merriman this year in Dallas. Agreed. As advertised, Cotrell has totally taken the bite and the pass rush out of the Chargers. Roids is a good hater excuse but I don't think is based in reality. Not to mention that the Chargers' could stop the run last year and were ahead in most games which led to obvious passing situations. That's obviously not the case but why let facts get in the way...back to our Merriman hating thread....The whole team is shot to Hell. Merriman gets a lot more tackles now, but there is no QB pressure generated from anywhere. It has nothing to do with Merriman and everything to do with the coaching.
This PFT article has couple of pics that are rather telling.
I agree with this entire post, but especially with the bolded part. Shame on Chargers owners. They screwed up royally. Has there been any quotes of them trying to spin the current situation?Loopdog said:could also have to do with the fact that Wade Phillips now has DeMarcus Ware playing Shawne Merriman this year in Dallas. I don't get it. In one photo he is wearing his shoulder pads and in the other he isn't. Wouldn't most people look smaller without all their equipment on?This PFT article has couple of pics that are rather telling.![]()
MJD was on the Jim Rome show this morning, and Jason Whitlock (filling in for Rome) was going off about that hit. Anyone have a video link to it?OU#1 said:Not to mention he got lit up by 5 foot nothing MJD today.
I was thinking the same thing. Just seemed like bad blog writing to me.I don't get it. In one photo he is wearing his shoulder pads and in the other he isn't. Wouldn't most people look smaller without all their equipment on?This PFT article has couple of pics that are rather telling.![]()

I dont see any shoulder pads. Are you saying he is wearing padding? He just looks swole in the first.Look at his neck size and form as a solid example.I was thinking the same thing. That\'s a good point. The effect that the shoulder pads have one one\'s head size is a subtlety lost on most football fans.I don\'t get it. So... you're saying that not using steroids makes your head shrink? I'd never heard that before.That\'s a good point. The effect that the shoulder pads have one one\'s head size is a subtlety lost on most football fans.
That was great -- thanks.MJD was on the Jim Rome show this morning, and Jason Whitlock (filling in for Rome) was going off about that hit. Anyone have a video link to it?
He's not wearing pads in either pic, but the second one is from further away and/or a different lens size. While he is admittedly smaller in the second, the difference is not as dramatic as it seems due to photo-optical reasons. We also don't know at which point in his training these two pics were taken. One could have been taken right before TC when players are at their biggest and the other after a lot of condidtioning has gone on which tends to start eating away at size.Obviously he is smaller in the second pic, but they are not as big a difference as it seems. That's the thing...he's not wearing shoulder pads.I don't get it. The biggest difference is in his neck. It looks much bulgier in the first pic.Obviously he is smaller in the second pic, but they are not as big a difference as it seems.
That's 2005, I believe. 2006 and 2007 don't look that much different. The biggest difference is in his neck. It looks much bulgier in the first pic.Obviously he is smaller in the second pic, but they are not as big a difference as it seems.
It says first pic was taken May 5 2005, second May 30 2007. Even the difference between the 2006 and 2007 is visible, though not as much.I understand what you're saying with the lens, but lens or not, his neck, shoulders, and chest are all clearly smaller. He's not wearing pads in either pic, but the second one is from further away and/or a different lens size. Yes, May 2005 was just after the draft, when he thought he was going to be a defensive end rather than a linebacker. It says first pic was taken May 5 2005, second May 30 2007.
The positive test was in August 2006. It just wasn't announced until late October. His 19 clean tests were after August. So he could have been taking them from 2004 through . . . I don't know, June 2006? . . . if he had somehow avoided detection until then. (I don't know how long they stay in your system. But if he had been taking them right up through his positive test in August, you'd think that he would have failed a test in early September or something as well, right?)What I want to know is how did it take until halfway through 2006 to have the first positive test when he clearly was using since probably 2004?
his head shrunk too?
