So, here's something I didn't pick up on initially - Butters & Cartman are voiced by Matt & Trey. Their suicide pact conversation is really about this episode - they were concerned that this may be the end of the show, a career suicide. They gave it until Tuesday on the show, I think that's the day Matt & Trey got their contract signed.
But it was in an EV because they knew it was ridiculous.

Haven't watched South Park in probably 15 years, but when I seen this thread I knew we had to check it out. I had to pause the show when Butters parents said "We are proud to say we have an electric vehicle" and then it cut to the boys with a hose in the car. I was laughing so hard I had to go to the bathroom or risk peeing on the couch.

I have his famous painting on a pair of shoes. Swear to God. I used to wear them all the time. So many comments and nice stares. They’re unusual, but I think great looking. I’m also straight and male, which adds to the odd dynamic of me wearing them. I love them. See below.
I have the shoes on the left and not the boots. You can’t really see it, but it’s a faithful depiction of the rake’s syphilitic journey. It’s bizarre to put moral decay and physical rot conveyed via oil painting on a modern pair of journeyed feet but I’ll take the contrast and beauty. I’m both an aesthete at heart and also scared stiff by moral turpitude per my soul. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
