Sports Bars in Portland, OR (1 Viewer)

I will be visiting Portland Oregon for a few days at the end of next week and want to find a good sports bar to hang out in. I'd like to watch the preseason games that run constantly on NFL network and would like to find one thats got good food, good atmosphere, etc...

I'll be in the downtown and/or Loyd Center area. Appreciate any good tips, TIA!

On Deck is cool insomuch as it has a great deck outside and attracts some pretty girls. But service is so-so and the food is meh. Not a bad place, though. Upscale vs. some other joints.Blitz is pretty good too, especially the new one they opened on NW 21st.

Cheerful Tortoise is an old dive near Portland State, but it's got character and I have fond memories hanging out there.

MVP - never been here, so no idea, but it popped up for Portland sports bars.

Spirit of 77 - never been, but great reviews (and would love to go some day)

There's also Buffalo Wildwings downtown, but meh....Rock Bottom down the street is better beer and food, but they might not have all the games on.

Rock Bottom on 2nd & Morrison or City Sports Bar on 4th and Stark.

Buffalo Wild Wings isn't terrible. Lots of TVs if you're into that.

I'll second Blitz, although I prefer the location in SE. Great beer on tap, so-so food, and cute waitresses. Oh, and tons of TV's...

Heading to Portland for a week mid October.. Who's got some suggestions on things I have to see or try?

I love good food.

Went to Spirit of 77 for the opening week of football games and loved it. Had a dish there that I'd never had before and it was incredible. Great vibe in there, really nice service too.

Isn't there a TV show that has lots of Portland tips? Portlandville or something?

I'd watch that if you want to know where to go in Portland.
