Sports Jerseys (1 Viewer)

In your opinion should it be acceptable for an adult (lets say over 30) to wear a team jersey?

The other day while in my local grocery store, a guy and his wife (I assume) were wearing matching Vikings jerseys. Just led me to wonder....
yes, but a team jersey. can’t be player specific, especially if that player no longer plays for the team. don’t wear a sam darnold jet jersey. also, don’t go to a cowboys vs bears game and wear a viking jersey.

I’ve still got my Eintracht Frankfurt jersey - red and black stripes, loose fit, and that vintage sponsor across the chest. Doesn’t fit quite right anymore, but I can’t let it go. It's crazy how something that simple can bring back such a clear memory of watching late-night Bundesliga highlights and trying to catch a glimpse of it in the crowd.

I pretty much only wear them to sporting events. When I was in LA I did go out in that throwback Magic purple jersey from the 80s. When I was in Ann Arbor I had the Webber fab five throwback. I have a decent collection at this point. I like having them even if I almost never wear them. Never had the money for it when I was younger.
Just bought a throwback Walter Payton and Barry for the next time I’m in Chicago and Detroit.

Bonus points for some obscure player who isn't on the team anymore.
This is me, sort of.

I only own two jerseys.

One is a Russell Wilson Seahawks’ jersey. Of course not obscure but definitely had a major fall from grace after forcing his way out of town.

The other is a Morgan Geekie Kraken jersey. I got caught up in the hype when Seattle got an NHL team. I love their jersey and liked the player and his name. His number was also my birth year. So I chose Geekie for somewhat silly reasons. He left in free agency the next season.

I only wear them on “support your favorite team day” at work—-so once or twice a year.

I voted yes (no exceptions) in the pole, though.

Are you a fan of one of those teams? I have never understood the idea of wearing jerseys of a team I don't root for.
I’m a Bucs fan. Sweetness and Barry transcend team lines.
Sure, as a signed jersey hanging on the wall in a nice frame. Not so sure about wearing a jersey of a team I don't root for.

I own several jerseys, but it seems every time I buy one, something happens to that player like a season ending injury or they get traded. Elway retired. Jay Cutler traded, Von Miller traded. Laphonso Ellis and Mutombo moved on in free agency.

I guess it could be worse, I bought my wife an Adrian Peterson jersey years ago. When they have jersey day at her schools, she just doesn't feel comfortable wearing that one. :giggle:

So I will be staying away from buying a Nix jersey for the time being.

 to each their own
