Star Wars Commander, like clash of clans with SW, now on android (1 Viewer)

Seems like they have fixed the campaign. I woke up this morning with an extra 1300 points. ie went from 4200 to 5500 without me doing anything. I was able to play the final mission a few times and get 2 stars and 180 points each time and I now have the Shocktrooper unlocked. I did this with only level 4 troops and did not get perfect stars on many missions 19 and higher.
Just finished this up too. They said they made the last level repeatable for a good number of tries, had to run it 4-5 times and unlocked the shocktrooper. Not that he's much use, but wth.

Going to raid for a while and max out my storages.

 
A lot of bases have 2 rocket turrets on the outside defending. I've been deploying 4 dark scouts to each one and my Vet behind. The Dark scouts take down the turrets pretty well if my Vet hasn't gotten there yet and then draw all the fire from the Vet while it takes out the shields and the resources. Find a base with decent loot and you can get it all.

Also, tried to loot a base that had mortars all around the center, Dark Scouts and Vet did not last long. not sure what is the best way to counter a bunch of mortar turrets bunched together,

I assume vehicles. Based on the developers posting, they have tried to make certain things susceptible to some defenses and not to others. That is why its key to have blast turrets for us. Because those focus on Chewie like the rockets focus on our vet. Im sure there is something out there that is affected very little by mortars. Just need to find it.

I tried the healer once and it froze my Vet as well, haven't tried to use them since. I can raid profitably without them.

 
I actually might start my hq6 in the next day or so. I have half my turrets done and its a 6 day build. More than enough time to get evrything done. The extra shield will only help
Started mine today. In 6 days I should be able to upgrade all my turrets and collectors I think

oh, its on.you doing walls also.
Yes, About 1/4 way done to level 5. They are expensive, 25K a pop. The are 60 I believe. 1.5M alloy just to upgrade the walls. Woah.

I am so far behind you guys. I'm still doing the "tutorial" chapters, currently on the Servant of Two Masters. Have to build up the credits to get to level 3 barracks. What should be my priorities among these things (or am I overlooking something)?

-upgrade turrets/cannons

Ever since my command center got upgraded ive been getting my ### handed to me on raids. I assume this is because I'm now attacking higher level foes?

 
I am so far behind you guys. I'm still doing the "tutorial" chapters, currently on the Servant of Two Masters. Have to build up the credits to get to level 3 barracks. What should be my priorities among these things (or am I overlooking something)?

-upgrade alloy/storage

-upgrade turrets/cannons

-upgrade heroes

-upgrade transport and/or HQ

I remember needing a lot of credits when starting so I would upgarde all of those first. Then work on upgrading all troops and getting the vet atst as high as possible. The defenses can be upgraded when you get to them. I am upset that I built too many rapid fire turrets. I would focus on balqnce and have more than one of each

 
Decided to not push hq6. Still have all my resources to upgrade also. I figure by the weekend I'll hit the button

Yes, I did this when I went to 3 too early and I couldn't beat anyone for a while. Upgrading your headquarters counts for a lot of your total base. You get matched up by some calculation. Keep updating your troops.

 
Just watched a replay from last night. I had 72,000 alloy available to loot. Will be maxed at both tonight with 4 defenses down for upgrade

 
I got attacked today with both shields down with 46,000 credits and 41,000 Alloy available to steal. Guy ended up with 2,314 Credits and 439 Alloy.

Not sure if he was just bad attacking or what. I have never seen a base I'm raiding with that much to steal.

Credit producers and alloy producers and storage.

Then Research so you can upgrade your troops.

Hero Command, then upgrade the VET to Max ASAP.

Keep collecting and spending, if you don't keep much, no one will attack you anyway. I'd do defenses last.

DO NOT upgrade your HQ until you get close to maxing things out.


I use only the Dark Troopers and Scout troopers with the Vet and I can raid most bases pretty good. I am raiding for resources, I don't care about medals, not sure if a low medal count keeps your matchups lower or not.

I use the Dark Troopers to draw fire from the turrets. They work great against the rapid fire and rocket turrets. I then send the Vet in to take the turrets and shields out.

Yikes!! What device?

I've read on some other forums that building extra troops in reserve can cause the game to glitch. Have you been doing that?

When i had an issue I reset my phone and then it was fine.

This is a bummer. I still can not believe I have had very little issues on my ipad2 first gen

I stupidly left it at home today so 2 droid will be twiddling their circuits for a few hours doing nothing while I have maxed out alloy

iPad 2 first gen. Only game I have had any issues with it.

Of course, with the new phones coming out today and my 4S coughing smoke, might be time for a new phone and new iPad. Hand this one down to the kids.

 
Some info on how you are matched:

Match placements are based on your base score and have nothing to do with medal counts (medal rewards are based off of medal difference).

My God, why are these units so stupid? All they ever want to do is shoot walls, when they don't even need to? And it's usually with enemy units pounding them... ugh.

 
Acer, saw that raid you posted where you got decimated. I've had my resources at 300K each and was raided twice for practically nothing.

That was a lot of troops they sent in. Looks like you had 4 turrets under construction at once. That had to be your downfall.

Any reason you are keeping your HQ inside the walls? I seem to protect the collectors better with the turrets grouped closely together on both sides and the 2 shield generators.

it was for the campaign. Never moved it. You are right. I knew I would get hit with 4 defensive upgrades. Its all good. Already maxed again in credits and about 100,000 away in alloy. But, after tomorrow, I only have 2 shields and a rapid fire. Ill hit the upgrade button on my hq. Should be enough time to upgrade all troops to 5 in those 6 days.
 
Raiding is very easy right now. Scores of 50K+ combined pretty much every time.

Running the Dark Troopers in against the turrets in clusters and then sending in the Vet behind and I can raid pretty much every base for all/most of it's resources.

The only bases which give me trouble with this deployment are a bunch of Mortar Turrets.

All my walls are Level 5, both shields done, 6 turrets to go and 8 collectors (which seem like a waste now and it's too easy to get resources while raiding).

HQ will be 6 in 4 days, I should be able to get most of it done by then. Still have my Hero Command and Starship command at 4, but without my Vet, I don't think I could raid profitably very well.

Wondering if we should request troops after you are done raiding and ready to shut down. This would leave those resources in the squad center for an attack.

 
Ever since I upgrade HQ to level 5, I suck at raiding. Upgraded the wookies and the gremlins to level 5 but nothing is working. All vehicles seems to do is shoot walls or something non dangerous and they get blown up. The xwing strafes are basically useless. I'm working on upgrading the tanks but I don't know what else to do to be more successful in raids now. Even champion Chewey gets torn to shreds in short order. Most people seem to have their setup tight with walls around so that my troops take fire from multiple sources. I try to deploy along the whole wall but the turrets and rockets finish off one wookie then just move on to the next.

Stupid game.

Upgrading all of your troops is really important.

I had one guy use the rebel shield generator busting tanks and then upgraded fighters to simply strafe my resource containers. Pretty interesting tactic.

um, that is all I've been doing the whole time. I'm like a 1 on the group list
 
So far, I have a level 3 HQ. Waiting to upgrade that. 3x level 2 Rapid Fire turrets and 1x level 3 Rapid Fire turret. 2x level 2 Mortar turrets. 3x level 3 Credit Markets. 2x level 2 Alloy Refineries, and upgrading a third to level 3 right now. 1x level 3 barracks and 1x level 2 barracks. Research lab being upgraded to level 3 right now. Can hold up to 50k alloy and credits at the moment. 1x level 3 Unit transport and 1x level 2 Unit Transport. 1x level 2 Factory.

Haven't spent the time to make it more defensible, but I probably should since my "protection" time just ended. I'll likely start getting pounded.

Suggestions?

Just recently turned HQ5 as well. Have lvl5 everything but Bantha's which I never use (it just seemed like a stupid troop to me). Xwing 5 can take out a turret/mortar/rocket. In the process of upgrading 2nd troop transport so I will be at 56 soon. The extra troops help. I usually raid with Chewie, 6-9 wookies, 4 pathfinders and the rest cannon fodder soldiers. Let the wookies make some headway, release pathfinders strategically, follow with soldiers. I typically don't wipe the base but usually get all or most of the resources.

I'm also upgrading the Speeder Bike to lvl5 now. Where it was worthless at lower levels, 4 seems to pack a punch & last a while. I took 2-3 on last raid they actually took out quite a few structures and lasted to the end.

I'm more curious about the turret comments above. Most of the bases I've been hitting are heavy rocket/mortar. That the combo to have now? I have 0 mortars right now.

Hmm. I have 2 burst, 3 rocket and 5 rapid fire. No mortars at all, haven't really sustained a large attack at all. My resources are full at 300K each, I'm waiting 12 hours on upgrades and no way to spend it. Maybe I should switch some rapid fire to mortars but they are working great for me so far. I don't mind the cost, can't spend anything anyway and I can likely earn 100K of alloy in 20 minutes raiding

Someone just attacked me. I have 64K of alloy and 55K of credits to be stolen on their raid.

They got 803 Alloy and 2,809 credits and had 17% damage.

Are they bad at attacking or are my defenses that good? (I think they are bad at attacking, no Hero in the attack)

Looks good so far.

For me, I don't care at this point about medals, it's just about resources.

Surround your turrets, shield generators and storage with the walls and protected by your shield generators. Do you have one yet at level 3?

Check my base for an example. Group the turrets together. Just having a base that looks organized and well fortefied will have people skipping you to attack as there are easier bases out there.

Build your Hero Command and get research lab as high as possible as soon as you can, the get the Hero Vet maxed out. This is the most powerful weapon in the game for the Empire at this stage. Also collectors and storage as you can now hold more credits and alloy.

One thing to remember is that you can upgrade your troops in the research lab without a droid. This should always be running upgrading something.

Vet to max first, the Dark Troopers and Scout Troopers for me. I only use these 3 on raids through level 5 so far.

Also, when you are going to spend some time actively raiding, try to keep a droid available. Then you can use up the alloy you are collecting to upgrade your walls. before you are done for the night, then go ahead and upgrade something that takes a while since you won't be playing(sleeping) You don't want your droids sitting around for 6 hours doing nothing while you sleep.

I'm thinking about raiding a few people just for fun so I can just take a big chunk of their resources. :whistle:

just remember, they can revenge you at any time. Makes it easier to be attacked.
 
I have been getting some funky things going on. When I try to get revenge on some people, I'm getting a message that the player cannot be found. Also, every damn time that I use any other app on my phone (iPhone 4s), when I go back to SWC it reloads. This is mostly an annoyance, but just became a big problem twice when I was in the middle of a really nice raid and a phone call came in. I didn't even take the call and it reloaded the game. So not only did I not get the credits/alloy, but I lost the resources it took to build the troops. Is this just because I'm on such an old phone?

 
Another round of big raids last night, most of them the app crashed mid attack.

Im going to blame it on the iPad2 maybe, but this is getting insane. Get an update stat!!

I have not crashed since I followed this advice:

Click End battle before getting 100%.

Yes, it reloads if I use anything else on my phone (iphone4) I did get a call, but cncelled it right away and it went back to the app in the middle of the battle and it worked. I think if you are quick, you won't lose it.


When I try to get revenge on some people, I'm getting a message that the player cannot be found.
Known bug, they are fixing this.

Well, I wonder if I'm setting myself up. So far I've raided about 10 peoples' bases and succeeded easily on all 10. Netted a good bit of credits and alloy.
