He never felt anything else happening in the force during his hiatus? Didn't feel his daughter growing stronger? His nephew becoming increasingly evil? But fine.

Why would he have a map to his own coordinates locked away in a droid that only he could activate? Did he think he'd forget where he was? And how did R2 have the entire map except that one piece? Luke locked up the location except one piece? And no techies thought hey, let's just hack the droid and take the map?

His lady boss screamed at him for taking his helmet off at the beginning. Pretty sure that was why he quit. That and the slaughtering innocent civilians thing. But she was really nasty to him

There's going to be a spinoff movie in 2018 covering the stormtrooper eating, grooming, and bathroom habits. I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of pajamas they get to wear.

Also what happened to the rebellion? They took over the Republic from the emperor. So wouldn't the storm troopers work for the rebellion led empire now? Why were they on the other side again?

After the Galactic Empire was destroyed the stormtroopers scattered and either found another job or joined other rebellions - like how the Iraqi Republican Guard joined ISIS.

The First Order stormtroopers in TFA are inspired by the Empire stormtroopers but were raised from birth to be loyal to the First Order.

Rogue One is coming out this December..

Would not surprise me if the delay is related to that one.. Wait to release the Trailer for VIII during Rogue One with lots of build up....

Quadruple your first day sales for a "fill-in" movie.. ;)

There isn't much there, which can end up making for a good movie, or a bad one. All that we know is that he's a bounty hunter with a bunch of cool gadgets who got killed (or not I guess) in a very embarrassing fashion. The slate is pretty blank.

I'd totally be on-board with a movie that's just a day in the life of a Stormtrooper.

In the old EU, he survived the Sarlac because he's a boss. I think they can easily do the same or go for the young Boba Fett as his rising up in the galaxy as the best Bounty Hunter there is.

 
Tickets for another show on Friday. Decided want to see it again in IMAX 3D while the opportunity is still there.

I think some combination of the hand, Palpatine, Plageuis is the most likely. Kylo Ren spares her (even killing the Knight of Ren who threatens her) because he recognizes that she is a creation of the Dark Side. That's why he's so intent on turning her. The easiest way to explain that is someone was cloning. There are breadcrumbs for that in the prequels, but the big question is whether they want to use anything from the prequels.

Apparently in the novelization, Snoke has a long conversation with Ren about how you need the best tools to make the best apprentice. Ren is Snoke's best apprentice because he has the capacity for the Dark and the Light. I still think that for maximum impact, whatever impact Rey's parentage has on her has to be something to rival the revelation that Vader is Luke's father. She has to question whether she has the capacity to turn to the Dark Side the way Luke had to.

 
I don't care about Rey anymore. I doubt they even have her back story written yet. Just a loose idea that Rian Johnson will adjust to his story.
