Start Delhomme (1 Viewer)

That's the big question right now for us Delhomme owners....

WTF do we do if Smith can't go?

It is Minnisota and they did looked pretty middle of the road in their D

but Carolina was atrocious in the offense.

Is Delhomme a definite bencher if SS is stuck on the bench?

Minnesota's defense looked pretty damn good. I don't know what game you were looking at. If Smith is out again, which I am inclined to believe he will be, then I would't touch Delhomme.

Aside from Delhomme possibly being without Smith, the Panthers are going to reshuffle their O'line.

That is never a good sign.

Explaining the reshuffling of the panther O'line.

"Carolina Panthers left tackle Travelle Wharton suffered a torn ACL and MCL in his left knee during the Panthers 20-6 loss at the hands of the Atlanta Falcons. Carolina placed their starting left tackle on Injured Reserve today, effectively ending his season in week one. Third round pick Rashad Butler is slated to replace Wharton at the pivotal left tackle spot."
Starting a rookie at Left tackle does not bode well for the Panthers O'line. I would adjust all offensive skill position players accordingly, as you know this is going to have an impact on Delhomme in particular & possibly Foster.Carolina homers should be able to tell us which side of the line Foster gets most of his yardage from.

No, he looked rattled out there last week without his main weapon. The Vikings have a defense that can put pressure on him as well. Find a FA with a good matchup.

I think they are moving Jordan Gross to left tackle.

I have Jake D and V. Young......I could pick up Grossman but that is really the only option on the WW...I think Jake is better than Rex....but Jake look real bad...but he had no time in the pocket....Jake needs to realize that no WR on his team is going to get as open as Smith does. Jake needs to put the ball in the right place and give his WR's a chance to catch the ball

No way, I'm starting Leftwich vs. the Steelers rather than Delhomme w/out S. Smith.
The Steelers gave up 240 yards passing to Culpepper last week -- they are not the world's greatest defense that everyone thinks they are. Leftwich is not as good a QB as Culpepper is, but he will not melt down at the end of the game and throw two stupid picks like CPep did either. He also has a better offensive line than Miami has...I think Leftwich should be good for 200-240 yards this week and will probably throw 1 TD -- may throw 1 INT..Delhomme, without Steve Smith and against Minnesota's defense, will probably match what he did last week -- 180-200 yards, probably no TDs and probably 1 pick...Just my :2cents: of course...

Jake had a great year without Smith before. He made a good receiver in Mush an All Pro. I think the Falcons played some great D Sunday, and that's what rattled Jake. Maybe Minny will too, but somebody out of Carter, Cobert and Meshwan can get the job done. Obviously Smith is a stud, but I think Jake just had a bad game. We'll see Sunday.

I tentatively have Vick pencilled in against the Bucs with Jake on the bench until the Carolina situation settles down a bit. I want to see how the O-Line responds to the changes and also would like to see Smith back in the lineup before Jake becomes my starter again.

Delhomme or Plummer is my choices.

Ahhhh, decisions decisions .........
i feel your pain....im wondering if i should start dominic rhodes in place of one of them as my flex.....

It's between Delhomme and Rivers for me.

While I like Rivers vs. TEN, I also don't think he throws more than 15 times this game, either.

I think I might just roll with Jake and hope my other guys can make up for any deficiencies. Oh wait, I've also got to start Randy Moss at BAL and Caddy at ATL.

Vick, Plummer & DelHomme here. I think Plummer will rebound unless TBell goes for 200 and 3 TD's.

I have Delhomme & Pennington. :bag:
Give me 2 :bag: :bag: as I have Delhomme and Simms. It sounds like we all felt so comfortable with Jake as our QB, that we all took chances on our QB2! (Which is natural I guess!) :boxing:

I agree with those here who still feel Carolina's offense is too shaky. If their WR and Delhome get into a groove, he will be my starter. Until then, P. Rivers will do the job. :loco:

If I don't start Jake I've gotta take Big Ben or Batch vs. Jacksonville. Not sure I like that idea either.

I might have to start hoping that Cutler takes the job from Plummer soon...

well i have to choose delhomme or simms. lol I think delhomme is the safer pick. Dont panick. Last week was only one week. This team can function without smith.
