Start either 2 RB and 2 WR or Start 1 RB and 3WR (1 Viewer)

my league allows you to start 3 WR's and 1 RB or 2 WR's and 2 RB's.

So when does it make sense to take WR's over RB's. my league is a PPR league.

For example:

If you can have:

Parker

Steve Smith

TJ

Lee evans

Is that better then...

Parker

Steve Smith

TJ

Jacobs

Yes, Evans is better than Jacobs.

You play matchups. My league (drafting today) allows the same flex, along with 3RB/1WR. With a limited roster (one backup per position), the draft itself will often determine how each team plays by their configurations.

F'rinstance, going in with the first pick, by the time I get around to my 2/3 picks the RB's are going to be thinned down considerably. If I see two prime wideouts sitting there on the table, depending on the rest of the draft, I might actually set up the team with a 1/3 RB/WR configuration in mind. :loco:

There's no one answer to this question -- you gotta do the math and see who's likely to score more points.

I find it's usually best to treat RB/WR as a single position and see where the projections lead you.
