Ugh...my 12 man redraft league determines our draft order months before the draft. We picked the draft order 2 days ago.

The guy that got the #2 overall pick traded his entire draft to the guy that has the #12 overall pick and they swapped picks in the 7th round.

The guy that moved into the #2 pick is TommyGunz...everyone in the league knows he sweats ADP and LT2.

Why are people making trades in draft order this early? Why wouldn't the original #2 overall pick shop his pick around and see what he can get? Am I crazy here or was it horrible trading away the #2 pick to move up in the 7th round?

Can you trade picks in your league and when do you determine your draft order?

MFL league?Sounds like a pretty guppie trade, but as long as both owners have paid their $$$ who cares really. Moving from 2 to 12 should get him at least an extra 2nd or 3rd round pick.My primary league determines the "1st round" (we have 1 keeper/team) based on 2007 playoffs. The teams not in the money playoffs actually dont just play for pride, the winner of their tournament gets the #1 draft pick! Of course the rest of the first round is just the money teams in reverse order, champ = last pick. Other than that, we used MFL to randomize our draft so it snakes every 2 rounds, and its good to go. That's a little "funner" than picking after the same guys every time.

Guppie is correct. And I agree, he could have easily made the trade and moved up in the 3rd round instead of the 7th round. This is a strong league. 10 of the 12 owners have been in this league for 9 years. I guess some people really love that "bookend" pick.I just spoke to the guy that traded the #2 pick. He's drunk as a skunk at the bar. He made the trade drunk as a skunk. Crazy.

It's never good to trade under the influence (TUI). Too bad that owner in your league didn't know better, and great work by the guy moving into the #2 spot taking advantage of an owner obviously drunk and not thinking. Oh wait, that was me. :goodposting:
