Starting Defenses and/or Kickers from MNF (1 Viewer)

I have developed a habit of picking up the team defense and/or kickers from the Monday Night game, whenever they are available. There are plenty of occassions where those players are not available, but when they are I like to plug them in for a spot start, especially if they are from the home team. This opportunity exists this week, the first week of my playoffs, and I am giving it a shot again. I picked up the Saints defense....normally below average, as well as Olinde Mare....another underperformer. I like their chances on Monday, in primetime against the Falcons. Plus it gives you the opportunity to extend the game into Monday night.

I know I will hear the argument that you should always start the player likely to earn the most points....but I seem to be drawn to the idea of extending the game for myself, and looking for team defenses to show up in front of the national audience.

Am I crazy?

I dont get the whole "Extend the game into Monday night." You earn the same amount of points whether it is Sunday or Monday.

I think you just like the fact of having someone on Monday do give you a false sense that you can catch up if your down.

Just start the best matchup. Who cares what day they play.
