Starting QB for 2 different Super Bowl teams? (1 Viewer)

Can anybody think of another QB that was the STARTING QB for 2 different Super Bowl teams. I think Warner is the first. The only other examples I can think of are Craig Morton who was a backup QB on the 72 Cowboys and then started for the 77 Broncos. And Jim McMahan who started for the 84 Bears and was a back-up for the 96 Packers. Calling Doug D.

Not sure about this, but how about Earl Morrall? He was the QB for the Colts and Dolphins, though I dont think he started the SB for the Colts. He started most of that year in place of the injured Unitas, but Unitas came back for the SB and threw a long TD pass in the 1st half. Then Unitas got re-injured and Morrall closed out the game. Did Morrall ever start a Super Bowl for the Dolphins?

I swear I heard this on ESPN earlier today or last night.

I *think* they said Warner is the THIRD.

Morton was one... I can't recall the other. I think it was Len Dawson... but that makes me think "Championship games (pre-SB)"was their criteria.

:dunno:

The other guy was probably Norm Van Brocklin, who started at QB for the Rams and then the Eagles in the Pre Super Bowl Championship games.

Morton is right, he started SB V I thought Staubach started. Morrall started for the Colts in SBIII but Griese started for the Dolpfins. I was thinking of Super Bowls only so Van Brocklin wouldn't count. Looks like Warner was the second to do it.
