I think Drinen wrote an article on whether it helped to start a QB and WR from the same NFL team on your fantasy roster, but I can't find the article. My recollection is that his conclusion was that starting a QB/WR duo increased the volatility of your roster. If you're clearly the better team in a head-to-head matchup, you should not play a duo. But if you're the underdog, the duo gives you a better chance of a breakout week that gets you an upset.
