Starting Shaun Hill Over.... (1 Viewer)

I sense there is a concensus here that Hill is worth starting over many many QBs.

Anyone want to have the guts to say he is a top 5 QB start in leagues that award completions by some fraction?

I don't think the guy is the type to exploit a matchup and get you elite points at the position so I wouldn't rank him top 5. I just expect him to do as well as he has been doing all year and that is good enough to get top 10 stats this week. Probably rank him around 7.

Wish he would have gotten that sneak through.
I was praying they were going to challenge that...difference between a great day and a good day.I'm just happy he didn't choke...i had images of a 147 yd, 3int day and 4 total fantasy points.

The offenses has been moving the ball well and he has been getting the attempts expected but he keeps getting screwed out of TDs. Just unlucky having them being just short of the goalline.

Yeah, twice the ball was inside the one where Morris got his 2 rushing TD's. Even if 1 goes to Hill it's a much better looking game. Still time for one more drive to get around the 20 point mark with a TD.

12 pts in first half-1 in the second

I like Hill this week but I would not go overboard with the match up. NE has shut down the opponents strengths in the past. Obviously, NE will not have to worry about the weak Detroit running game.
The Pats rank 31st in the league in pass defense. They're not doing a good job of shutting anybody's passing game down so far this season.
Exactly. I'm starting him over Brady, but mostly because if (fingers crossed) it is a blowout, the Pats might turn to Hoyer earlier than normal given Brady's foot problem.
Oof

27/46, 286 yards, 1 TD, 2 sacks, and 2 INT. Yeah, well it didn't work out too well but honestly, there's a lot of luck in fantasy football involved and you throw a dart out there and some hit and some don't. Honestly, I don't think this was a bad call even if it didn't turn out too well though I suspect most of you will. How many QBs out there had the opportunity to throw 4 TDs, throw 46 times, and reach 300 yards? I know he didn't get it done today and everyone only cares about the end result but really, it's about opportunity and he had a good one this week so I wouldn't feel too bad about taking a chance and missing this time. If you make calls like this regularly, you should be able to hit more often than not. Detroit has games like this every week where yardage and TDs are out there but they can also miss.
