We are nearing the point of the offseason in which many startup dynasty drafts are held. In the next three weeks leading up to the NFL draft, I will be posting a series of polls asking about how you see this year's dynasty drafts unfolding.

The polls will be based on the following lineup in a 12 team league-

QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, TE, Flex (RB, WR, TE) K, D

As far as scoring, assume 4 points for passing TDs and PPR for all positions.

If you vote for other, please post and let us know who you voted for.

(1.01) 1. Ladanian Tomlinson, RB

(1.02) 2. Steven Jackson, RB

(1.03) 3. Larry Johnson, RB

(1.04) 4. Reggie Bush, RB

(1.05) 5. Frank Gore, RB

(1.06) 6. Brian Westbrook, RB

(1.07) 7. Clinton Portis, RB

(1.08) 8. Joseph Addai, RB

(1.09) 9. Laurence Maroney, RB

(1.10) 10. Larry Fitzgerald, WR

(1.11) 11. Peyton Manning, QB

(1.12) 12. Willie Parker, RB

(2.01) 13. Maurice Jones Drew, RB

(2.02) 14. Ronnie Brown, RB

(2.03) 15. Adrian Peterson, RB

(2.04) 16. Steve Smith, WR

(2.05) 17. Rudi Johnson, RB

(2.06) 18. Chad Johnson, WR

(2.07) 19. Willis McGahee, RB

(2.08) 20. Shaun Alexander, RB

(2.09) 21. Reggie Wayne, WR

(2.10) 22. Carson Palmer, QB

(2.11) 23. Antonio Gates, TE

(2.12) 24. Torry Holt, WR

I went for Boldin here. Leinart/Fitz/Boldin are the next Peyton/Marvin/Reggie. Let's see if the trio can stay together.

Choices are getting thin. Who should be added for the next poll?
I think there s/b a QB and TE option on the board at all times, whether you or I think one qualifies. The 'other' option doesn't really work since most are not going to think beyond the picks available. In fact, I'd probably be sure I had 2QB, 5RB, 5WR, 2TE on the board to choose from at all times. That plus 'other' give 15 choices if that many are allowed by the poll setup.I'd offer mature vs young choices too. Something like:2QB -- one of Brees/Brady/McNabb/Bulger, one of Young/Leinart/Cutler5RB -- two of McAllister/Henry/TJones/ChTaylor, three of Cadillac/Benson/DeAngelo/Turner5WR -- two of Walker/Harrison/Plax, three of Boldin/Roy/Andre Johnson/Cal Johnson2TE -- one of Gonzo/Heap/Shockey, one of Vernon Davis/Winslow (let voters decide on Winslow's knees long term - his production is undeniable). You don't want to limit the choices too much to candidates you think ought to be selected at a certain point, because you then end up shaping the draft by your own predispositions.Have fun.

To follow up on my last post, as a player from a certain category is voted in, a replacement player is added to the 15, including the subcategory of mature vs. young. So, once Henry is drafted, for example, TJones would be added to the list (rather than a younger guy). That would allow us to see where people begin to value current production over future potential, as the mature guys begin to be voted in more regularly.

I'd put Brees, Turner, Andre J, Colston and Evans on the next list. Maybe one or two more RBs- Barber, Deuce, Thomas Jones, Henry come to mind.

Sounds like a good plan, CP.

15 each time is a lot for you to put up there, but I think it really would give folks a better sense of options. Kind of a pain for you, BUT YOU STARTED THIS DAMN ADDICTIVE THING!
