Status on Marvin Harrison (1 Viewer)

On August 20, Harrison broke his silence from the media but didn't give up many details. (link here) On a prolific passing offense, and after the first couple of games (Manning back on form, Harrison shakes the rust), does he return to form? Pipe dream?

I ask because I'm actually trying to figure out the value of Gonzalez as it relates to Harrison's presence. Worth taking Harrison as a WR3 or passing for Gonzo later? Anyway, any updates on the status of Harrison would be welcome.

Harrison is entering his 13th season and people are writing of the most consistent WR in what ..... the past decade ???

He didn't have any major surgery .... he had arthroscopic knee surgery in the off season to clean up one knee.

Oh ..... but he's old, right ? Um, T.O. is entering his 13th season and no one is questioning his ability.

Jerry Rice continued to play at a high level past his 13th season and I am pretty sure he had surgery on a knee ( not %100 sure but I remember he got hurt and missed the rest of the season as I had him that year )

But Rice was younger when he got hurt, right ?

Just keep making excuses.

Go ahead and write him off completely, guys. I took him in the 5th of a 10 teamer and am very happy to have him.

I am very happy with the depth of my team so if Harrison does not return to form, I think I can get by just fine.

Harrison will be just fine this season and will be the steal of most drafts (based on his current ADP) ..... you'll see.

Gonzalez' presence may hurt Clark more than Harrison. Gonzalez can possibly post Brandon Stokley's 2004 numbers. He will/should have value regardless of Harrison's status.

Harrison is a much better WR than Gonzalez. Harrison will be a very good #2 WR this year. Manning's not going to have a great year, so I don't see Stokley-like numbers from Gonzalez.
