Stedman Bailey. (4 Viewers)

FWIW, I have his comps as a mix of Antonio Brown and Randall Cobb. Been picking him up where I could for cheap since late last season. Wouldn't shock me at all if he turned into a top-25 FF WR even in that offense.
I think Cobb is faster and more explosive (one of the 10 fastest players in his state as a prep?).To me, Bailey is the love child of a smaller Hines Ward and Derrick Mason. His TD total his last year at West Virginia was one of the top marks in NCAA history (25 TDs?). In some ways, he outplayed his more high profile and higher pedigree teammate Austin.

One way to break down Bailey's prospects? If Britt and Quick both start, there are four possibilities.

1 - Both play well.

2 - Britt plays well but Quick doesn't.

3 - Quick plays well but Britt doesn't.

4 - Both underwhelm and disappoint.

In 3/4 of those scenarios, Bailey could get a crack in the doorway to a starting job, and with any opening, break the door down.

Pettis was already passed by Bailey last year. Givens could be in the mix, but I think Bailey is the better, more talented and well rounded player, and is the future in STL.

Jim Thomas (beat reporter) on local radio this morning said Bailey has looked great. Catching everything. When asked who has been standing out he said Bailey and Bradford - though the Bradford praise was more that he looks like his old self, no problems with the knee.

The "Next Derrick Mason" has been getting a lot of praise by his teammates, coaches and media....Looking at him I still find it hard to believe he was taking performance enhancing drugs....unless maybe it was Adderall. Sounds like he will not be in the doghouse when he returns.

I'm excited to see this guy play in year 2, he's one of those guys that has a knack for getting open and getting the job done. Of all the WR the Rams have drafted recently, he might actually be the guy.

i was excited before the 4 game suspension and before the 4 preseason games where he averaged 1.5 catches and 19.75 yards per game, and before his starting QB went down with a season ending knee injury.

Stedman Bailey - WR - Rams

ESPN's Adam Schefter confirms Rams WR Stedman Bailey will be among those reinstated under the league's new drug policy.

Per Schefter and colleague Chris Mortensen, the NFL and NFLPA hope to have a finalized agreement some time in the next 24 hours. Also being reinstated would be Wes Welker, Cowboys CB Orlando Scandrick, Giants OL Eric Herman and free agent DE Spencer Nealy. Josh Gordon and free agent WR LaVon Brazill's season-long bans would be cut to 10 games. Bailey would provide immediate relief for a Rams receiver corps getting no production outside of Brian Quick.

This offense can't support more than one WR, and right now that's Quick. But that's Quick across from Britt. If Bailey comes back, that dynamic may change, but if you have one Rams WR to own right now, Quick is the guy. But if Bailey puts up good numbers this next week, you may want to have a fast trigger finger.

With Tavon Austin hurt and all the other WRs not named Quick a pile of stink, how does he look value wise? I know Austin is a young QB, but he may rely on a guy like Bailey for catches.

Stedman Bailey caught seven passes for 89 yards and one touchdown in the Rams' Week 12 loss to the Chargers.
Bailey and Jared Cook each saw a team-high nine targets. Bailey works the intermediate levels of the field and has a superb set of mitts, but he's not a field stretcher. His touchdown came from seven yards out late in the fourth quarter. Bailey is playing a prominent role on offense, but this passing game can't support more than one pass catcher. Bailey is a WR5 for Week 13 vs. Oakland.

Anyone going against the grain thinking Bailey could provide some FF spark down the stretch?

Not enough to start him yet, but yes. He and Charles Johnson might both win people $$ this year.

Picked up both of those guys from the WW this week in one redraft league. Don't know which one to start this week though.

Bailey with a career high 100 yards receiving on 5 receptions. In the first quarter (He had 175 total in 2014 entering the game).

Starting to see the breakout here... what's the dynasty thought on Bailey and the STL WRs moving forward?

Trying to determine if he's worth waiver priority... but honestly what's the ceiling? Does he have the chops to ever be more than a WR2/3 borderline?

Feels like light went on and time to get back on this bandwagon. I hope he continues and finishes strong.

Tavon Austin and Coradelle can go to the CFL

Yes and no.

He's got the physical skills to be very productive: Decent speed, reliable hands and solid out-running are all there. He did it in college and has shown that a little at the pro level.

The problem? QB situation is in flux. He's going to have to suffer the growing pains of yet another QB likely and, maybe, coaching change. If you buy then buy cheaply. He's showing why he could be a bargain.

Said it above...I think his best comps are Antonio Brown and Randall Cobb. Doesn't have the QB play they do, but he might be plenty good.

So here's the thing... I think you bet on talent in dynasty. If Bailey has it, he's a solid bet.

QB situations work themselves out quite quickly in today's NFL... wouldn't shock me at all to see STL fix that this offseason with a draft pick or free agent signing. Heck Bradford has looked solid at times when he's upright (just not that frequent).

I doubt the coaching change happens anytime soon... Fisher's shown steady improvement IMO -- fleeced WAS in the RGIII trade. Built a strong D; has an OL set to maul for years; appears to have found his RB... passing game is what's left.

Gotta be honest here... wdcrob probably has his misses, but he's hit on a lot lately.

Even if Shaun Hill isn't a great QB, it seems like he loves to target Bailey.

Starting him in my flex this week if Rashad Jennings can't suit up. Got my fingers crossed...
