Both roughing calls were clear and obvious. Def players can't drop their body weight on the QB. I don't agree with it but it has been that way for a while.

I wish they would do away with ineligible receiver downfield, or at least make it 5 yards they have to be past the LOS.

At the expense of the RBs and WRs. That's what karl and I are trying to say: at some point they will have to pass. NFL defenses catch on pretty quickly to running QBs and Fields isn't getting any younger. When he's required to pass it's hit or miss - the problem with most running QBs. They run to hide their passing shortcomings.

That's unsustainable and won't work in the playoffs (if they even get there).

Not sure if you watched the game but Fields was under quite a bit of pressure for much of the game and was able to scramble to make positive plays that Wilson is just not capable of anymore. I am certain that he would have been sacked 3-4 more times.

I’m not a Fields fanboy but right now he is the better QB for the Steelers. If Fields gets hurt or starts turning the ball over then you make the switch to Wilson. I just don’t think it is the time

Again, I get that, he is a good runner, and has mobility, but he has shown very little passing ability.. His play with his legs yesterday was more LV sucks, then it was anything JF did great.

Pittsburgh has a ton of teams down the stretch, even the Jets next week, that I would bet he isn't going to be making such plays with his legs and will need to pass for the Steelers to win. This is why I would rather have Wilson. Wilson is nowhere near the runner JF is, but he has a much better arm.

Let us not forget, there were 2 questionable roughing the passer calls against LV yesterday, a pent that wiped a LV TD off the board, and a block punt. Pittsburgh won, but there were 4 plays were it would have been a lot tighter.

The Steelers 4 wins are more a product of who they beat then anything he has done spectacular. When they get in the meat of their schedule (KC, Baltimore, Eagles, Commanders) we will see.

Let me frame/explain this better...as long as Fields keeps winning, it empowers Mike Tomlin to leave him in there until one Sunday they are down 14-0 and the offense has done nothing for several drives/quarters/1st Half and he can bring Wilson off the bench and maybe spark a come from behind win.

He has one afraid he's going to lose his job and doing his best to win at all cost on Sundays including making plays with his legs when guys are covered and not open. Unfortunately 9-8 keeps us from getting a franchise QB and atm Fields is not quite there.
I still wonder what kind of bank he is going to expect and/or what other teams would pay.
