Steelers Defense owners (1 Viewer)

Many people who own the Steelers D will make it to the play-offs having started Pittsburgh every week. That's the position I'm in in one of my leagues, but despite their being the number 1 defense in my league there's no way I'm doing it in week 14. I understand the whole dance-with-who-brought-you argument, but with so many inexperienced QBs starting at the moment there's no way I'm going up against Brady in week 1 of the play-offs. I will be picking up one of Jacksonville, or even Miami or Buffalo (who play each other). Interested to see whether other Steelers owners are rolling the dice against Brady.

Cleveland plays the Jets next week and the Eagles play at home against the Giants. Either one should be available on the WW and may be a better play than the Steelers. I especially like the Eagles.

If I were you I would wait and see how the Steelers do against the Bengals this week. True, the Bengals aint the Patriots and it will likely be a very slow track at Heinz Field, but the Bengals offense is finally healthy and have Rudi and Henry back. It should be a big test for the Steelers defense.

I am out of the playoff hunt so I am sticking with the Steelers defense no matter what (non-playoff teams in our league play games for $10/win so there is still something on the line for me -- just not ebnough to warrant a roster move).

I picked up the Bengals Def yesterday, to be used in week 14. I'll stick with my Steelers def for this week in the mud, but here's my plan for using a 2 team tandem (assuming I remain in the playoffs that is)

week 13 - Steelers D at home vs. CIN

week 14 - Cincy D at home vs. STL

week 15 - Tossup - likely go with Steelers at home v. JAX, or may use Cincy @ SF

week 16 - Definitely, Steelers at STL.

that's 2 weeks of playing St Louis, who are allowing 3.5 sacks and 2.5 turnovers per game. Oh, and only aveaging 15 ppg on offense. I think Cincy offers a good balance for the tough upcoming schedule facing the Steelers D.
