Steelers interested in trading for Jerry Porter or Randy Moss (1 Viewer)

My instinct, like probably most everyone else, is to say there's no way a guy like this could end up on the Steelers. BUT I remember seeing an interview from last season with Cowher, Mora, Dungy and someone else. They were asked if they thought they could handle a guy like TO (lots of talent, but lots of headaches) on their teams. Cowher's answer surprised me, as he said, "I'd like to have the chance to find out."

He may get his chance...AFTER he retires and then comes back as head coach for another team. The Steelers are not going to trade for Moss.

Yep, their neighbors to the south... West Virginia University. There are a ton of Steeler fans in WV and don't you think they'd love to see one of their own come home? I think Porter is the one the Rooneys want, if any.

For those saying that it will never happen -- Never say never! I said Moss would never get traded from the Vikings for a number of years, when the rumors started floating around in like 2002 or 2003. And well, he eventually DID, much to my surprise.

Not saying it WILL happen here, but who knows in the crazy NFL?

WVU is 45 minutes from Pittsburgh and WVU football and basketball is very big here. No one cares about Marshall in Pittsburgh.

Moss gets a bad rep. I really don't think he is as bad as made out to be. I can't remember the last time he did anything that bad. I'm not going to hold his comments this year against him.

are you sure? i'd tend to think the opposite. was a team suspension, not nfl. i can see it getting overturned and that forcing the raiders to trade him.

I would think that if you are trying to trade a guy and get the most in return you wouldn't call more attention to the fact that the guy is an idiot.

No, but you might harrass him and try to convince him that it'll be cheaper to give back a big hunk of his signing bonus to facilitate a trade than it will be to stay a Raider.The NFLPA will crush this one; and I hope Porter takes Al's wheelchair in a subsequent lawsuit.

Porter for Porter? Yeah right. Not gonna happen. Duce for Porter is more likely, but still very remote.

Moss has no business in a Steelers jersey, less he's off the field and tryin' to find out what feels like to be a winner!
