Steelers vs. Redskins (1 Viewer)

Keys from the 1st half.

Wash Oline looks great in pass protection

Campbell looks fantastic. All his passes were on the mark. Great in the pocket.

Skins run game looks below average. They need Sameuls and/or Portis.

Skins D is all over the field.

McIntosh looks like a stud. Not sure if he's played this well through camp. If this game is any indication, the guy will be a star.

Cooley is going to get a TON of targets in this O. Guy catches everything too!

Ben has looked good. When he has time, throws are on the money. He is running very well.

Holmes looks great.

Essex may have played himself off the team. If he starts at all, the Steelers will be in big trouble.

Steelers ground game was totally shut down. Parker had nowhere to run.

Steelers D really struggled. Game really could be out of hand but somehow isn't.

Steelers have no pass rush with 3 or 4 guys. They need to blitz at least 6 to get pressure vs. Skins Oline.

 Great to hear Campbell's doing well. I've been in his corner for awhile now, could prove to be great value this year.Soooo, no need to worry about Betts starting over Portis?

How is Ben when rushed? The OL is a concern of mine (owner of Ward and Ben in one league, Parker in another)Too bad with Parker tonight, hopefully it's just this game. Something tells me Pittsburgh is in for a losing season, although I still do like Ben and Ward in FF.

Pretty much right over, through and around Essex.Really, it just looks like the Skins D is faster all around. They are just getting to the ball in packs. They are not exactly creating a ton of pass rush pressure. Just covering well, closing well and taking the run game totally out of the picture. Holmes is getting open.

Is everyone getting the video technical difficulties?

They (my local Fox affiliate) just cut to commercial as the 'Skins were about to kickoff the second half.

ETA: They seem to be back in business.

At least the Steelers punter is amazing.

Essex doesnt look like the answer as the backup LT. I think they are going to have to make Faneca the backup there and move Kemoatu (or however you spell it) to LG if Marvel is injured.

Carey Davis made the team with his special teams tackles. I think Russell makes it also. Bye Bye Kevan Barlow. Parker, Davenport, Davis, Russell, and Krieder probably the 5 RBs making the roster. I dont see them not carrying a FB, so bye to Verron as well.

I took Cooley in the 7th this year. Vern Davis was there, and I flipped a coin. I hope he can stay healthy.

Finishing up on the replay of this now. A couple random observations:

• Rocky McIntosh was all over the place for the Skins D. Kid looks really good. Matter of fact, the entire skins D looks pretty nasty.

• Sorry in advance to all the Skins homers who have to listen to Theisman and Patrick . Jeez these idiots are insufferable. How many years has Verron Haynes been in the league now? Not only can ####### Patrick not get his name right, he can't even get it consistently wrong. "Verrin Hayes" , "Vernon Hayes" , etc. Then of course, after they got Pizza delivered and they plugged Papa Johns, Patrick said about Theisman, "He's not only going to eat the pizza, He's going to munch on the box!"

• Love how Theisman nearly gave birth on the air when Keisel hit Campbell in the knee (actually above the knee) but doesn't even bat an eye when Boschetti goes in and hits Batch below the knee.

• Santonio Holmes is on his way to being a very good WR.

• I'm now convinced that our 5 RBs should be FWP, dookie, Krieder, Davis and Russell. Adios to Haynes, Barlow, and Kuhn. Even with Russell's three stuffs at the the end of the game, the OL was getting no push. Bettis wouldn't have gotten in on those three tries.
