If Thom Beers has half a brain, he turns this into a TV show. Barry traveling across America (maybe even the world) visiting off the beaten path type places. Just picture it.Barry's driving one of his cars, towing a vintage airstream trailer. "Today, we're going to Sugarcreek, Ohio, where they are cuckoo about clocks." Cut to a shot of him pulling up in front of the World's Largest Cuckoo Clock. Does an interview with a guy about the clock.

Guy: 2 tons of oak were used to make this clock

Barry: And I thought I had a lot of wood.

Hit some mom & pop place, chat with them. Then "So, what do you guys do for fun around here?" Cut to him at the Ohio Swiss Festival dressed in leiderhosen, standing next to a guy yodeling. Barry gives his shot at yodeling and fails miserably.

It would be awesome. It'll be like a Barry Weiss version of Insomniac meets No Reservations.

Discovery has been coming out with some real turds lately. Moonshiners, Amish Mafia, Devils Ride, Backyard Oil...

Season 1 of Moonshiners was oddly addictive. Then season 2 was terrible.

Are they still making new episodes of this show? The only reason I watched was for a strange infatuation with Brandi...I haven't heard of anything new in forever.

Season 5 starts March 18th. Barry has been spun off into his own show that will follow Storage Wars. Here is the synopsis for Season 5

"The new season of “Storage Wars” will find Brandi and Jarrod struggling to keep their business afloat while Darrell works on teaching his son Brandon how the business works. Casey and Rene Nezhodah are anxious to gain the respect of the vets, while Ivy Calvin minces no words in running his business."

Not surprised Brandi and Jarrod are struggling. Those two aren't too bright. My guess is that the only reason they're still in business is thanks to the show. Within a year of the shoe being over, their business will fail and she'll be taking her clothes off for money.

I DVR'ed this but haven't watched it yet. Is she at least wearing some better outfits on the new show? The loose fitting, high-necked dresses with a giant hat that she's been wearing on the show suck balls. She needs to take a lesson from Rene's Snorlax of a wife and wear some hotter outfits.

I hope the ratings sucked but not enough to not get picked up for a few more episodes so the producers have time to push the skin-to-win ratings methodology.

Watched this last night...so scripted and boring. I love how they "stole" Jarrod's mom's pool, but didn't address how they suddenly had a BRAND NEW liner when clearly the old one was cracked and disgusting.

The basic premise of this episode and likely every other one will be:

-Jarrod acts like a 4 year old.

-Brandi is disgusted with how Jarrod acts.

-In the end, somehow they turn their antics into a life lesson or something.

 
Only watched 2 episodes this season. Been watching "Barry'd Treasure". They really should've gone with my idea instead. Way too scripted.Just let Barry be Barry.

I am going to guess that he settled the suit and avoided paying the fee by agreeing to come back onto the show. That's right....He's back!!

So contrived since the show is Dan and Laura's and they openly discuss their hate for him. Guess the need for ratings and staying alive outrank the need for happiness.

 
Not sure I get the infatuation with Brandi.  I mean, I'm infatuated .. don't get me wrong.  But there are a million semi-celebs out there that are hotter.  My wife watches all the Real Housewives of wherever shows and I have zero interest.

I think she is just hot enough and just ugly enough that guys like us know we would have a legit shot at hitting it.
