Strategy for roster with 2 flex spots (1 Viewer)

Starters are: QB, RB, 2 WR, TE, Flex - RB/WR, Flex - RB, WR, TE - PPR

What is the draft strategy here compared to a no-flex PPR roster? Do RBs become more valuable since you can potentially start 3?

Interested if anyone has experience with this format. Thanks.

Im in the same boat with you. Kind of a weird format and im not sure what the best move is. Really looking for some thoughts on this as well.

I am in a 12 Team league (3 player Keeper & 1 Rookie).

1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 2 Flex (RB/WR/TE).

0.5 ppr RB, 0.5 ppr WR & 1.0 ppr TE

Having 2 solid RB's & good depth at WR works for me.

WR are the biggest asset in our league for due to the PPR and the lack of strong RB talent

Some owners like a TE as Flex due to the +1.0 PPR

Last 3 champions had very good WR, and some had marginal RB2 talent.

The general rule of thumb is that whatever position is most valueable based on the scoring rules of your league would be the spot you want to use for your flex spot.

in most cases, this means using a RB as a Flex, but in a PPR format, there are WR's you may wish to consider instead.

I was in a pool last year and we started 2 RB and 1 flex and my first 3 picks were all RB and I ended up with 5 RB's on my roster.

as I dont know your leagues rules I cant help much more, but I think this will point you in the right direction.

The more RBs and WRs you can start, the less an elite QB is worth. I'd definitely wait for a late QB in this league, taking as many backs and receivers as possible until value drops. In typical scoring, starting 3 really good RBs every week will more than make up the difference between having QB10 instead of QB1.
