Streaming NFL Network? (1 Viewer)

keeps telling me i need to install version 1.0.1
:goodposting: I've re-installed it numerous times, uninstalled realone, re-booted, etc... Everytime I go to the page, it keeps giving me the same error message that my Sopcast is older than version 1.0.1 and starts all over again.

why wouldn't you install 1.01 like it asks? Why reinstall the old one?
I have, I keep installing it over and over again, and it gives me the same message everytime.

Thanks, but same thing. I try the webplayer in Mozilla and it wants to install the same thing over and over again.

I try the webplayer in IE and it crashes due to an issue w/ the sopcast.ocx.

I try using the client version and I get to watch one play and then it stops and keeps buffering.

i had the same problem with upgrading to the new player. i kept on doing it and still got the same message. i was still able to watch on the old one until it went off line

I'm not a computer programmer.

I know web design and spend a ton of time on the computer but I'm no programmer. I try and help but ......

I don't understand what is the problem with the guys that can't get sopcast to work.

Between this thread and the one in the FFA we're talking 1-200 people or more that have had no probs.

It's very straight forward so that leaves me to guess you're doing something dopey, as I have done myself at times; not throwing stones just re-think how ya did it.

Uninstall the sopcast, (after uninstall)look under program files/sopcast or whereever you installed it and make sure that directory doesn't exist, delete folder if necessary. Delete downloaded file.

Restart your computer, let it recognize that it's NOT there.

restart your computer

download http://download.sopcast.com/download/SopCast.zip

Unzip and install it

Now don't mess with your firewall or add any steps, when it says close all other applications...close em', just click on the exe file and install it.

restart computer

Without a browser open, try sopcast

do not create a login just click OK to login anonymously

(If you get prompted to allow for firewall, allow)

Click channels tab near top of sopcast

click on a channel(on the right, menu appeared when ya clicked channels)

It should work

Again, very straight forward

If it doesn't work, Sopcast has a forum and there's a thread in the FFA here, maybe try posting your prob there see if others can help.

I have not seen an actual upgrade program. I've seen "new version" or "latest" but not an upgrade. ya gotta get rid of the old then install the new.

I had the same issue and the sopcast.dll was due to my BitDefender AntiVirus. I disabled the BitDefender and it worked great.

Bump.

So this works for all of the NFL Network Games? I have to go somewhere Saturday and want the ATL v. Dal game. Does it appear to get better every week, or as more and more people find out, it gets worse?

For me it's been better. I've received some emails from others it's gotten worse.I assume there's a struggle to keep up with the bandwidth demand so the people that get on early are cool but the later folks are stuck in a way.

For those having issues with SOPCAST, just thought I would point out that this should be one of the few weeks TVU Player will/should get the game. TVU's FOX broadcast is out of SF, so it should be played locally on that channel.

Edit: Nevermind, checked the schedule - Not airing on FOX in the bay area. Looks like the CW channel, which is not carried on TVU. Back to SOP.

Anyone else having trouble connecting tonight? My Sopcast just shows 'connecting the channel' then it times out after a minute and says it is unable to connect.

yep someone at another site just confirmed NFLN momentairily lost power at Qwest

I just downloaded SopCast......not connecting. I was hoping to stay in tonight....looks like I'll be driving across town to by buddy's house...who has the dish (NFL Network) vs. cable.

Yes solar storms can effect power grids. I use to work in the power industry.

If someone was watching the pre-game and now it's gone, perhaps whoever chose to host the broadcast has lost power.

Bookmark this to never have to ask any SopCast football channel again: link

Things to check if you're having troubles...

Firewalls; third-party, Windows and internal in routers.

Make sure your Windows Media Player is up to date.

ETA: Data blocking software such as anti-virus

player is actually working for me just that channel wont connect...also just read that the game was suspended while the head ref called the league office or something, something about bubbles on the field and not being safe for the players...

soooo... is NFL gamecenter going to be updating live? or do those guys watch on TV's too? (i always assumed they did)
