Studs most likely to get hurt (1 Viewer)

right now I would say the ones that are already hurt like Foster and Best, for the moment I have Tate but I am considering Jerome Harrison instead. Others: Vick, Romo and Stafford, R Bush Dwill, Colston ,Addai, MJD

What studs out there would you bank on getting hurt?
Just to pretend this is a legit question - generally speaking, major injuries are functions of being in the wrong place at the wrong time with the wrong result. Studs, by definition, are involved in many plays over an NFL season. Most of the events that could occur in a given play listed in the 3 "wrongs" above happen at differing points in a game within a given season. Those "wrongs" all converging in a single instance is somewhat difficult to predict - but usually happens to players on the field or involved in the play. As such, many studs (once again, as pointed out above - i.e. due to their high involvement) are at greatest risk - over, say, their backups. However, because the many events that can lead to a season-ending or significant injury are somewhat randomized, the real answer is that virtually every stud is equally likely to suffer said type of injury. The point? Generally speaking, no matter how many times people like to call a player "injury prone" the fact is that major injuries are not more likely to befall any particular player. Just take a look at "Fragile" Fred Taylor's stats. Shockingly you won't find nearly as many missed games as you might think.

That is a little different from a player like Gates or Colston who have "chronic" or "ongoing" problems.

The final point: I wouldn't bank on any particular stud getting hurt....but I would bank on some of them going down.

It's ok to predict injuries if you want to, but never base your draft on it.

Also, it's bad Karma to even talk about this. Hell, it's bad Karma for me to even be in this thread. I'm leaving now and go pray to the fantasy football Gods and ask for forgiveness.
