So you are telling me that if Peterson comes back fully healthy, they are going to limit the best back in the game to 60% of the carries? If he is healthy he plays.. end of discussion. When he does return we will be back to rbbc. 60/40 split..
Maybe so...but Minny is a team with QB issues. Being able to run when teams KNOW you're gonna run is impressive...regardless of what NFL team plays.I'm fortunate enough to have both players, while I'd prefer ADP be back for the playoffs I can't emphasize enough a return to the RBBC would be atrocious. Keep in mind Taylor just torched one of the NFL's worst run D's.-chris

Makes sense. Why don't they limit LT to 60% as well? I mean, it worked so well for the Vikings early in the season to limit Peterson. Maybe it will help San Diego turn things around if they limit LT.Yup.So you are telling me that if Peterson comes back fully healthy, they are going to limit the best back in the game to 60% of the carries? If he is healthy he plays.. end of discussion. When he does return we will be back to rbbc. 60/40 split..

What incentive would Minnesota have for such a deal? They only reason for Peterson to come back is due to contract incentives...Here is the solution...Peterson's agent should negotiate a deal (project stats) so that they don't hurt this kids or the organizations future. Pay the kid but sit him down...What say you?
They lower their risk of losing their rookie franchise back...I have read he and his agent feel pressured to bring him back due to incentives. Peterson gets paid, at least partially, and the Vikes let their franchise RB heal up. This would have to be perceived as good business by the other players as well. What incentive would Minnesota have for such a deal? They only reason for Peterson to come back is due to contract incentives...Here is the solution...Peterson's agent should negotiate a deal (project stats) so that they don't hurt this kids or the organizations future. I cannot very easily imagine a scenario in which a team gives in to pressure by an agent to renegotiate a deal mid-season that would have the team paying a player more money to not play. They lower their risk of losing their rookie franchise back...I have read he and his agent feel pressured to bring him back due to incentives. I like the idea, but I don't think it will happen because from mgmt point of view it sets a precedent that will be brought up to them again in the future by lessor stature players. They lower their risk of losing their rookie franchise back...I have read he and his agent feel pressured to bring him back due to incentives. Why..Chet looked as good or better today. If they have a shot at the playoffs, as crazy as it sounds, they'll get ADP back on the field.
Because they can't get to / win in the playoffs with Jackson passing the ball and Taylor as their only effective weapon.Why..Chet looked as good or better today. If they have a shot at the playoffs, as crazy as it sounds, they'll get ADP back on the field.
Because you can find a serviceable #2 RB in the draft, FA, etc.. Finding a good Qb is not so easy. Derek Anderson could be available. If the offer was Derek for Chester straight up I think the Vikes could do worse. Why shop Taylor in the offseason? Every team needs two good RB's, just like every team needs an experienced backup qb. Id only shop him if it was for a good WR
Why wouldn't the Vikings simply sign Anderson as an RFA?snogger said:Because you can find a serviceable #2 RB in the draft, FA, etc.. Finding a good Qb is not so easy. Not nearly as much as Marshaun Lynch continuing to play at a high level while Peterson is injured.Anyone one think Taylor's performance hurts ADP's chances for ROY?
Because the Browns will tender him at the highest value, meaning the Vikings would have to give up a first and a third round drafts picks for him? There is no way this happens and if it does, the Vikings are stupid. The Vikes are more than just a quarterback away from getting to the big dance and they need their draft picks. Why wouldn't the Vikings simply sign Anderson as an RFA?snogger said:Because you can find a serviceable #2 RB in the draft, FA, etc.. What? ADP would have had a 25/300/3 performance today!Anyone one think Taylor's performance hurts ADP's chances for ROY?
I know what you're saying but Taylor looked about as good as you could have wanted anyone to look today. ADP has been awesome but let me say this, ADP has had to look this good because I've been a Chester Taylor fan since he was backing up Jamal Lewis in Baltimore.I always thought he had a ton of talent and just needed the chance to show it, I knew he was better than Musa Smith when some thought he was the backup to Jamal a few years back.I thought Chester would do very well in Minnesota not really knowing for sure if ADP was the real deal. Thinking that if he didn't turn out to be, he'd be what we saw today. With as good as day as Chester had, when ADP is ready for the starting job, he'll get it back. Think of it as if LT2 ever went down for a couple weeks and Turner came in and had a big game or two. As talented as Turner is, he will be going back to his role when his time's up.Taylor looks very good behind that O-Line. Peterson looks awesome behind that O-Line. If the Vikings could get a halfway decent QB the proper mix of Peterson/Taylor will be incredible.
Absolutely. I like Chester Taylor, I felt bad for him when Peterson got drafted to MIN, because if healthy I know Peterson is so much more talented. If the Vikings can hold onto both of them and manage to figure out the right mix of a 1, 2 punch of Peterson and Taylor their rushing attack would be the best in the NFL IMO. OF course they need to find a QB that can back of the defense a bit.I know what you're saying but Taylor looked about as good as you could have wanted anyone to look today. Dude let it go. There's no way CT looked better than ADP today. If he ran for 250 then maybe, but still no.Da Guru said:Why..Chet looked as good or better today.Colin Dowling said:If they have a shot at the playoffs, as crazy as it sounds, they'll get ADP back on the field.

You mean he looked better than ADP had ADP run Sunday with one wheel? Chester is observably slower than Peterson, and offers little that Peterson does not bring to the table.TODAY he looked alot better than Purple Jesus.Dude let it go.
