Suh gets horse collar penalty for dragging MBIII down by hair (1 Viewer)

Saw still photos of this last night (will try to find to post) and twice - before and after Suh grabs the dread locks with his left hand - he has three or four fingers of his other hand inside the right side of MBIII's helmet.

So, tell you what...bad call on the horse collar? Sure...and still a penalty for face mask. Half the distance either way.\

ETA - reworded for clarity
Can't believe it took this many replies before someone mentioned this. I'm a Lions fan, and the horse collar was BS, but it shouldn't matter as he had a big face maskpenalty that they missed. Either way, it would be the same amount of yards in a penalty.
Not that it matters in the outcome, but he released the facemask instantly if you watch the replays. As there was no pulling, twisting etc... it wouldn't have been a facemask.
:goodposting: With the removal of the 5 yard facemask penalty, it's now a subjective call, and if the refs don't think you tug on the face mask enough to gain any advantage they aren't supposed to call a penalty.

The NFL needs to have players put hair under their helmets during games to prevent these kind of mistakes.

I'm surprised he doesn't get tackled by his hair more often. Of course, for all I know his hair is slick with product and tough to get ahold of.

That's a facemask penalty. I like Suh too, but geez.

ETA - If you closly at the picture, he has Barbers helmet by the facemast, and the back of the helmet with his other hand. (You can see his fingers) Then he lets go and grabs the hair. )

Horsecollar, no. Facemask, yes. 15 yards <> 15 yards
