More news
Bills -- Trent Edwards makes his first start at QB. Could be a long day for Marshawn Lynch.
Patriots -- Laurence Maroney is among those on the injury report ... nothing definitive, but this smells of typical Patriots gamesmanship on the injury report.
Jets -- From Thomas Jones to the defense, they're all great plays in BUF.
Ravens -- Steve McNair will start.
Steelers -- Hines Ward is a no-go. This makes Santonio Holmes, Nate Washington and Co. good plays in Arizona, which doesn't exactly have top-notch CBs.
Texans -- Don't be surprised if Ahman Green sits with Andre Johnson, Jacoby Jones, et al. Ron Dayne could be a nice flex start this week in ATL.
Raiders -- Daunte Culpepper's getting his shot today.
Giants -- Derrick Ward may give way to Reuben Droughns. Brandon Jacobs still not ready.
Eagles -- Brian Westbrook a major question again. It doesn't help that this status won't truly be known for another 9 hours. Don't bank on him if you have a viable alternative.
Packers -- Vernand Morency is expected to make his debut as Brandon Jackson sits. Doesn't mean much against the MIN run defense.
Vikings -- QB Kelly Holcomb still the starter in all likelihood.
Bears -- Brian Griese is in, as we all know. He may have to win a shootout with the Bears defense in shambles due to injuries. Griese certainly has a chance to shine vs. an awful DET secondary.
Panthers -- Carr in, Delhomme out.
Bucs -- If you haven't added Earnest Graham, he looks like a solid investment.
Cards -- Don't count on Anquan Boldin today ... maybe Bryant Johnson is a flex play.
Rams -- Brian Leonard gets his first start at RB. But the Rams will need to exploit the DAL pass defense to have a shot. Here's hoping the line can block.

Early injury updates
Nate might not think I would answer the bell, but as usual, he is wrong. And, as usual from me, here is some info you might find useful. We'll start at the end again with a couple of big-name questionables in the Sunday night game: Plaxico Burress (knee) and Brian Westbrook (abdomen).
Burress sounds like he almost definitely will play so you should feel good about starting him. Westbrook is the bigger question mark. His injury apparently is more serious, though it still would be a bit surprising if he did not go in what looks like a great matchup for him. The problem is that if he is inactive, you might not be able to switch him out of your lineup that late. If you have, say, Correll Buckhalter, that is an easy move to make this evening. Otherwise, you could risk taking a zero if all of your other guys already have played.
Elsewhere, the Bengals still list Rudi Johnson as out. Kenny Watson starts but why would you start him against the Patriots? NFL.com reports Javon Walker will not play. Definitely play Brandon Marshall and perhaps Brandon Stokley as well. And ESPN says Jake Delhomme certainly is out with David Carr playing. Play Carr at your own considerable risk.
