I don't understand why KC is favored in this game. Maybe if Rice was back this week I could see it, but even then I don't know. I think the 53 over/under is too high as well. Especially as both OLs are likely gonna have trouble against the opposing DLs. We expecting Dan Skipper to block George Karlaftis (leading the NFL in pressures) we expecting Jawaan Taylor to block Aidan Hutchinson, even if he gets to start a second early and line up in the backfield?

I think KCs only real way of winning, is if the Lions play stupid defense, and allow their backup CBs to be 1-1 with Worthy deep. Without that, I don't really see a ton of success for KC on offense.

With the Lions, I think Amon-Ra keeps on being his top-3 WR self, and I think Sam LaPorta continues establishing himself as the #2 in the passing game.

I think the Lions win.

Detroit is 4th on offense with a .15 EPA/play
Detroit is 3rd on defense with a -.10 EPA/play

KC is 6th on offense with a .13 EPA/play
KC is 15th on defense with a -.01 EPA/play

Neither difference is all that significant.

They're 4th and 5th in offensive success rate with a .12% difference

KC actually leads the freaking league in rushing EPA at .14 while Detroit is 20th at -.04
Detroit leads the league in EPA/dropback with .33 while KC is 11th with a .10 EPA/dropback

KC aDOT is 4th at 8.8 yards/throw whereas Detroit is 20th with 7.62 yards/throw

I could go on. It's tight by Vegas's currency (numbers) and Detroit is missing those key pieces while bettors still probably overvalue Mahomes and what he can do with this offense

Mahomes is gonna get sacked 6 times and fumble for a detroit touchdown. I’ve seen this movie before. This might be an ugly night in KC, from the game to the sideline - a complete meltdown. I completely flipped my draftkings and went heavy Lions.

If I could legally bet in Wisconsin I would be betting Detroit.
