I don't know if this has been posted before but there's a group of individuals who have started a petition drive to get the Monday after The Super Bowl declared as a national holiday. It's a longshot they admit but it won't be done if no one tries. You can electronically "sign" the petition at their website:

The site explains what their doing.

Just thought I'd pass it along, let's see how many FBG'scan help push their effort, you never know!

Man Law!!!

I always take the day after the SB off. Started back in 2001, the year after my Rams won the SB. Buddy of mine said he was taking that day off and I asked why he would do that wince the Rams weren't in there. He basically said, "I don't know who will be in the SB, but I'm pretty sure I'll be hung over the next day!!!"

Truer words were never spoken

Male work productivity is zero the next day anyway with everyone either hung over at work, calling in sick, or hanging around talking about the game and the commercials. Good idea.

Problem is, the women don't care about all that (you think a SB holiday will get past Nancy Pelosi? No way!), so we have to mask what we're really doing and throw them a bone.

Let's pretend we're making Groundhog Day some sort of national Animal Appreciation Day and celebrate it on the Monday following the SB every year instead of Feb. 2 (we do it with Presidents' birthdays, why not with a groundhog?). I say it'll fly; we just need to get Bill Murray to help promote it.
