*** Super BOWL XL Game Thread *** (1 Viewer)

Wow, I'm rooting for Pittsburgh all of a sudden.

Seattle fans are NOT impressive in this thread.
Sorry, any decent fan of the game knows that's not a great call. Not the worst... but a bad call, he did touch him, but did he push him off... no way, shape or form. Period.
Heh, whatever. I still felt he pushed a little (arm was slightly flexed when Jackson touched him, then extended)Either way, screaming a "fix" after a call, good or bad, is a quick way to show low class. Not saying that was you, but there's no reason for that.
Who said fix?
It's been implied a few times. And no, I'm not going to call anyone out.
No problem -- but none of the complainers said it was a fix -- not yet ayway! :)
Not outright, no. It's been implied in two posts. That's what I'm talking about.

That is the correct call.
What was that... throw the flag 10 seconds after... then figure out if it's a penalty. Let them play... give a warning. Please don't let this SB be decided by officiating...!!! :wall: :wall: :wall:
Huh?You can't just NOT throw flags. Then the game is decided by non-officiating.

They discussed, then made the right call. What's wrong with that?
Just a bit concerned that are anxious to call everything... including some ticky-tack stuff on both sides. I'm not saying the officiating is picking one side vs the other... it's seems my rant is pro-Seattle, but that's because they've had the ball bit... but they are AWFULLY too anxious on the flag right now.

So far, I think the only bad call was the one on Jackson and that probably had more to do witht he angle that the ref had on the play.

looks like the steelers defense is playing the "bend-but-don't-break" philosophy.. im not feeling good about this at all

SA chippin away. I predict 10-0 halftime score.

Edit: can y'all pls get over the -ing pass int call already, get a room, whatever. cripes

I would be more concerned about the Steelers Offence at this point. The D is steady.

Are you sure you're not looking for something you want to be there?I've seen nothing to suggest anyone calling a "fix"

Oh yes, I'm sure.I don't "want" anything to be there. I could care less about either team, or their fans.

i can't disagree with that..offense has been horrid. 3 and outs..nothing is working like the last 3 games

I could be wrong, but that looked like a catch and fumble.
Was close.. for darn sure
Wow that was close... problem in slo-mo is that it looks like catches like that are in possession.. that's why on officiating reviews they look at it in real-time as well...

I thought so. He had the ball and turned completely around with it in his possession.
That's what I saw, but only in the slow-mo replay.Game speed might have told a different story (no football move, etc.)

Seattle is bossing this so far....but only have three points to show for it.

Is that actually a positive for the Steelers (despite the fact they've done nothing on offense?)

I think so.But they do have to get something going eventually.

Here they come. Wouldn't be at all surprised if they don't score now!

Seattle's punter has blown three chances to pin the Steelers.

freakin' kicker, do your job

Nice officiating thus far, especially picking up the flag on Boulware.

Fine play by Boulware to snuff out a scoring threat.

Hawks' front seven doing a pretty good job containing Big Ben. He's been hurried a little.

Corrected. The Call against DJax to me was weak in the endzone ;)

Another PATHETIC pass by Big Ben. I knew he'd never be known as a deadly accurate passer but he looks like crap. buh-bye Stillers.

PS that Dove commercial was one of the most moronic commercials I have ever seen. If you're upset about being fat, eat less and stop being such a whiny spoiled slug.

Why make that throw???
Because you're overrated. :) (just kidding)
I don't fault the guy for having confidence to make that kind of throw - but I would think that managing this game correctly is something that Cower would have talked about with him.
