and it was PI on Jackson, he DID push off with his right arm. That's not a TD and should be obvious for the replay official to seeIt was a TD....ever so barely. Call could've went either way.
That's my man!Come on guys, Big Ben got the TD. The ball was knocked loose after the ball barely crossed the plane.
Dont talk sense.....Come on guys, Big Ben got the TD. The ball was knocked loose after the ball barely crossed the plane.
Then you can call PI on every single play. On either side since they do "Touch" the other player.and it was PI on Jackson, he DID push off with his right arm. That's not a TD and should be obvious for the replay official to seeIt was a TD....ever so barely. Call could've went either way.
Sorry he touched... didn't push and didn't straightarm. It's football...and it was PI on Jackson, he DID push off with his right arm. That's not a TD and should be obvious for the replay official to seeIt was a TD....ever so barely. Call could've went either way.
That wasnt a touch, it was a delibertate push RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE REF.Then you can call PI on every single play. On either side since they do "Touch" the other player.and it was PI on Jackson, he DID push off with his right arm. That's not a TD and should be obvious for the replay official to seeIt was a TD....ever so barely. push ???ROTFLmao !!!and it was PI on Jackson, he DID push off with his right arm. That's not a TD and should be obvious for the replay official to seeIt was a TD....ever so barely. Call could've went either way.
I TiVo'd it and you are probably right. It wasn't a TD, but I can see where the replay official didn't want to overturn it. An unfortunate break for the Hawks. That's not a TD and should be obvious for the replay official to seeIt was a TD....ever so barely. Call could've went either way.
Because his first instincts as a Ref was to make the right call and spot the ball, then he caught himself and remebered his pre game instructions were to give any close calls to Pittsburgh.I don't get it, why would the ref run in like he is going to spot it, then signal TD
So far they have defined this game. 10 points have been scored and the calls could have effectively negated or created 8is that all u guys are gonna talk about... the "bad" calls that could have gone either way.. its only 7-3 .. maybe 7-6 or 7-10 soon
Agreed - very poor play on both sides. Not a very good half of football.
To me its been to much of the Refs. But yea neither team has its A game as of yetAgreed - very poor play on both sides. Not a very good half of football.
You are being far, far too kind with your words. That was an atrocious half of football. Where are the big players? Where's Loudmouth Porter? Where's the MVP?Not a very good half of football.
Seattle has out played Pitt this half, yet they are down 7-3.
Pitt should feel lucky to be up.
let see what happens in the second half

The only thing that broke the plane was the front of his arm.Come on guys, Big Ben got the TD. The ball was knocked loose after the ball barely crossed the plane.

Fitting that the refs are negatively influencing this game, after these playoffs.

Sickening to think that, yet thats really what it looked likeBecause his first instincts as a Ref was to make the right call and spot the ball, then he caught himself and remebered his pre game instructions were to give any close calls to Pittsburgh.I don't get it, why would the ref run in like he is going to spot it, then signal TD
I'm sorry, I don't think there is a fix... but they are much too in the way of this game. Period.Fitting that the refs are negatively influencing this game, after these playoffs.![]()
I agree the D Jax call was right, he pushed off. It was a light push off, but one nevertheless. . Big Ben's TD was NOT a TD. He clearly didn't get it. Sea owned the 1st half, but still down....Not a very good half of football.
Interesting that he only signaled the TD when Ben moved his arm across the line...while he was clearly just lying on the ground. Very suspicious, at the least.Sickening to think that, yet thats really what it looked likeBecause his first instincts as a Ref was to make the right call and spot the ball, then he caught himself and remebered his pre game instructions were to give any close calls to Pittsburgh.I don't get it, why would the ref run in like he is going to spot it, then signal TD
[8ball]Signs point to yes[/8ball]Do the ####ing refs want the steelers to win..............bULL####!
A replete, but biased post.First half thoughts...
Darrell Jackson clearly pushed off on the TD, but he probably didn't have to. All he had to do was stop and turn around... it would've been a TD. He probably could've had a TD late in the 1st half too, but he ran the route too close to the sideline.
Seattle had plenty of opportunities to score early. They had 3 or 4 straight drives starting near midfield and managed to get only 3 points. The Steelers' defense has been awesome when they needed to be.
The Steelers are doing a tremendous job on Alexander. If they can take away Jackson with some safety help, I like their chances to cover Engram and Jurevicious.
Ben hasn't been extremely sharp, but he was looking much better as the 2nd quarter was finishing up. That seam pass to Wilson was the first pass he threw that looked sharp. He missed some open guys early off of play action, and Ward should've caught the pass in the end zone. He catches that ball 75% of the time.
To me, it looked like Ben's TD was too close to be overturned. If he was short, it was by a centimeter. If he was in, it was by the tip of the ball by his elbow. Whatever the call on the field was would stand.
Biased? What's biased about it?A replete, but biased post.First half thoughts...
