Just looking for peoples opinion on this one? I'll be getting Ajayi in this trade. For context here are some of my roster:

QB - Aaron Rodgers
QB - Philip Rivers
QB - Blake Bortles
QB - Mike Glennon

RB - Doug Martin + all other Bucs RB's
RB - Dalvin Cook
RB - Jeremy Hill
RB - Rob Kelley
RB - Jalen Richard
RB - Joe Williams

TE - Martellus Bennett
TE - Hunter Henry
TE - Jesse James
TE - Rico Gathers

Would it be worth it for Ajayi? Hopefully Cook turns into what I hope he can be, but outside a Doug resurgence I'm not loving life at RB right now.

It's a pretty fair offer, but after the draft I would hate having Bortles and Glennon as my QB2.  Glennon may not be the starter all year long.  But I agree you do need RB help.

What are your WRs like?  What QBs does the other other have?

Personally, I would try and counter with Ajayi + lower ranked QB for Rivers + player, and see what you would need to get a deal done.  If the player you need to give up is Cook, pass.   I would much rather give up Rivers and Bennett for Ajayi than Ajayi + QB for Rivers and Cook.

Yes I pull the trigger on that deal without hesitation. With Rodgers at qb I wouldn't worry about my qb2, they play one week. I don't care what defense he plays, Rodgers is a start. I wouldn't care if it left me without a backup.  Bennett is getting older and while he may have a solid couple years in gb (or not, who knows?) he is expendable. You may lose a little at te, but maybe one of those three will be consistent this year.  Ajayi is a little risky but should have a huge workload this year.

Some people worry about his injury report at the combine, others will point to his numbers last year being inflated by a couple 200 yd games. While I don't think some of the projections coming out of Miami are attainable (Parker/Thomas) I think ajayi has the best chance to touch them. 1900 total yds? Maybe not, but maybe.

Thank you for the replies, guys. For context my WR's are

WR - Odell
WR - M. Thomas
WR - Golden Tate
WR - Hurns
WR - Westbrook
WR - T. Benjamin
WR - Zamora
WR - Eli Rodgers

The other owners QB's are

QB - Ben Roethlisberger
QB - Carson Palmer
QB - Sam Bradford
QB - Trevor Siemian

I also have Hundley and McCarron as QB's but thats more for future depth. Might pick one up from next years class in the rookie draft as well. I didnt go for any this year. This guy also has Lev Bell, Todd Gurley and Lynch so he's got the RB's to trade.

He mentioned its a super flex. I assume he can start two QBs.

Yea, Superflex which is one of the reasons I'm hesitant to pull the trigger. I just noticed that for this season, both Bortles and Rodgers have the same bye week (8) and Glennon/Rivers have the same bye (9). Not ideal, either, haha.

Kept reading the post, rather than the question. That makes a difference, so I'd try to get a qb back in return but I'd still like to get ajayi to anchor your rbs.
I feel the same way.

Try to counter with Ajayi + Bradford for Rivers and J Hill and Bennett and see if he bites.  Otherwise I would accept the deal as proposed.

Being able to point at the schedule and say "well I really need to cover this week, can you give (x)?" Usually wont stand in the way of a deal if they have the depth.

I don't think I would trade Rivers straight up for Ajayi in a superflex so I certainly wouldn't add a starting TE like Bennett to your side.  If you can get Bradford in addition to Ajayi then I would do it (and add in Hill if you have to) because you at least get some depth back at QB and with Bortles and Glennon's NFL starting jobs on the line, I would have to get an NFL starting QB in the deal in order to give up Rivers.

Yea, as it stands he backed out of the original deal and asked for Rivers and Hunter Henry for Ajayi. I like Ajayi a lot (he's an Arsenal fan like me haha) but I couldnt do that so i backed out. This has given me an idea I hadnt considered before and thats looking for a QB back in return. I like the idea of offering up Ajayi + Bradford for Rivers + Henry if needs be. I could try offering Bennett and Hill instead and try to keep Henry.

His logic on backing out on the original deal was Rivers was near enough the same as Palmer (which I dont agree with) and that Bennett was roughly the same as Jimmy Graham (which I agree with - probably better than Bennett). So not sure if there's a deal to be made. I've been trying various versions of this trade every few weeks since January hence seeking some varied opinions. Appreciate the replies and advice.

Who knows how long Rivers will continue to play, but it's not inconceivable that he will play until they open up the new stadium in LA.  I would think Spanos will try to convince him to stay on at least through their first season in the new stadium.  That is 3 years from now.  Given the shelf life of a QB, he could play for another 4 or 5 years and be very productive if he can stay healthy, so I would estimate Rivers' remaining time to be 3-5 years.  Ajayi is 24 years old, but has bad knees and given the shelf life of RBs he could play for 5 or so more years, provided he can stay healthy.  Staying healthy is harder for a RB to do than pretty much any other position, especially when you factor in the previous injury history.  I don't think it's unrealistic for them to have a similar amount of productive time left in their careers, nor do I think it's unrealistic for Ajayi to play a little longer than Rivers since Rivers has earned over $100 million and doesn't need to continue playing for the money.

IMO QBs are much more valuable than any other position in a start 2 QB league, unless there is a scoring setup that makes them not score as many points as the other positions.  Considering their potential remaining productive time in the careers, I would rather have Rivers.  Bradford isn't a particularly good QB, but as long as he is an NFL starter he can be a low end #2 starting QB for you or better yet your #3 so you can have bye week and injury insurance.  If he wants Henry you would absolutely have to get Bradford in the deal.  I would prefer to give Bennett and Hill over Henry in a dynasty, but I think Rivers and Henry for Ajayi and Bradford is a fair deal.  That's pretty much the best I would be willing to do if I were you.
